The LG Watch Style’s top feature is that it’s very light and slimmer than most smartwatches. It’s comfortable too. However, it doesn’t do much and the battery life is pretty poor - it’s one of the lowest-stamina smartwatches we’ve tested. With a lot riding on its looks, I’m not sure it’s beautiful enough to outweigh all of those problems. If it's your dream design for a smartwatch though, you might be willing to overlook them.

The LG Watch Style is a thin and light smartwatch built in collaboration with Google. It's also one of the first watches to run Android Wear 2.0, Google's revamped smartwatch operating system. Android Wear 2.0 will arrive on a handful of other watches soon, but the Style and its sibling the LG Watch Sport will be the first watches to get the update.

There are better (and longer-lasting) smartwatches available to go with both Android and iPhones.

The LG Watch Style is slim and has an Apple-like rotating crown for easier navigation; Its Android Wear 2.0 software is more user-friendly than its predecessor.

Its tiny battery doesn't last a full day; There's a limited number of useful apps, no NFC for mobile payments, no speaker, no heart-rate sensor and no GPS.

The LG Watch Style looks and feels great, and we love Wear 2.0 and the new crown scrolling, but beyond that it’s just too limited given the price. Without NFC, GPS, 4G, or a heart-rate monitor the Style feels overpriced, and you can get more for less from some of the other wearables on the market.

The LG Watch Style isn't an all-singing, all-dancing smartwatch, but it does its job and it does it well. If you're after a smartwatch that looks like a premium, fashionable watch, this isn't the device for you, but if you want a smartwatch that's comfortable, fuss-free and easy to use, the Watch Style is well-worth considering.

The LG Watch Style ($249) combines fashion and functionality better than most smartwatches, but it sacrifices some features in the process. Attractive and lightweight, the Style is ready to wear anywhere, which can't be said about most of its competition. It's also a capable notification hub, with some fitness tracking capabilities and Android Wear apps for good measure. But if you're looking for an Apple Watch-like experience, the Style isn't nearly as intuitive. If you're training for a marathon or determined to shed some pounds, you're better off with a dedicated fitness tracker like the Fitbit Alta HR ($329.20 at Amazon) .
