LG Optimus 7 review
Windows Phone 7 has arrived an array of different handsets, so here we're looking at LG's entry: the Optimus 7. Microsoft sets out some design rules for Windows Phone 7 hardware, and there are some ways in which the Optimus 7 is very like all the other Windows Phone 7 handsets out there, such as the...

LG and Microsoft aren't exactly the oldest friends, but friends, they are. Microsoft's Windows Mobile has seen some limited action with LG devices, and during the interim period between Windows Mobile 6.5 to the current Windows Phone 7, both companies have been doing their best to keep their heads...

LG Optimus 7Q
The Optimus 7Q is the best smartphone we've seen from LG in a long time, but side by side with the HTC and Samsung handsets running WP7, and even beside its sibling, the Optimus 7, the 7Q trades off quite a bit to accommodate its keyboard.
Pros:
- Windows Phone 7 is a plus
- 16GB onboard memory
- 1500mAh battery performs well
- Decent camera
Cons:
- Marginally smaller screen than other WP7 phones
- Keyboard could be better designed
- Hansdet is bulky and heavy

Another Windows Phone 7 handset, the LG Optimus 7 isn't a million miles away from the other four launchers due to Microsoft's stringent minimum hardware specs and tight control over the software itself. So what can set the LG Optimus 7 apart? And can it take on HTC's already impressive offerings?

LG Optimus 7 E900 review
A very capable WP7 smartphone that sadly lacks the design and build quality of the HTC handsets

LG Optimus 7 - Windows Phone 7 Smartphone
When a new operating system comes to market the greatest excitement is arguably reserved for the cool kit which follows. Windows Phone 7 is rather different. Microsoft – traditionally liberal with its hardware requirements – has this time imposed strict hardware guidelines and even forbid tinkering...

LG Optimus 7 Review by 3G.co.uk
A number of Windows Phone 7 handsets have come onto the market, and because Microsoft has been strict about their software and hardware specification, the phone makers have had to make an extra effort to make their devices stand out from the crowd.
Pros:
- : Fantastic display
- great social phonebook
- good support for webmail
- decent price
- nifty apps from LG
Cons:
- : Making a call is long-winded
- app store is disappointing at the moment

Windows Phone 7 made its debut a couple of months ago, and it made quite an impression on the PC Pro team. For a mobile OS designed from the ground up in little more than 18 months, it looked slick, was easy to use, and has proven extremely responsive on all the phones we've tested so far.

LG Optimus 7
Windows Phone 7 handsets are like episodes of Friends: they're all basically the same, but each has a slight twist. The LG Optimus 7 then is "The one with the DLNA". The LG Optimus 7 will be available on Vodafone, where your other option will be the HTC 7 Trophy (The one with the low price).
Pros:
- Panorama photo is fun
- comfortable for making calls
- Windows Phone 7 is generally a great refreshing operating system
- compact
- Zune
- 16GB of memory
Cons:
- DLNA is send only
- camera tinkering adds little over the default performance
- design not as striking as some rivals
- WP7 app support still a little unknown
