Kingdoms of Amalur

No problems using with EA. The gameplay is amazing and there is so much to explore. For $10, the is the best value for an RPG game out there. It would be perfect except for one glitch. The last boss keeps recovering even after being beaten down multiple times. I think it is a bug.

Great game but can't play it

I have loved this game on Xbox. Bought it new for my PC. First, can't install game without downloading and creating an Origins account (EAs 's version of steam), second have to download game not install from disc (I don't have unlimited broadband so this will cost me), and thirdly after game...

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (XBOX360, PS3, PC)

The latest game up for review is Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, an action-RPG developed by Big Huge Games and published by EA. Now, the easiest way to break this game down for you would be to name the two or three games that it derives its entire existence from: 1) The graphical vividness, combat...

KoA:R's combat is its ultimate saving grace; I like to rattle on about the game is borrowing from here and stealing from there, and given enough time I could probably give a similar explanation for its combat..; But it's just so much fun that I really don't want to.

The name of the game here is graphics and glitches; Though much of KoA:R seems pretty high-grade, the character models seem surprisingly slipshod at times; In dialogue you can often make out some murky low-quality textures on the face of whoever you're speaking to, and a general woodenness to their...

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Review

Every mortal of Amalur is born inside the weave of fate, doomed to walk along an unchangeable path and endure predetermined events – except for you, the hero. How exactly you fell is unknown, nor is it important, because fate can now be twisted to your liking.

Fluid; rewarding combat; Deep character customization

Tiring side-quests; Generic environments; Confusing plot

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

I've got a bit of a confession -- I don't worship at the altar of Skyrim . Now, don't get me wrong, I appreciate the amount of work that went into it, and sheer craftsmanship that it must have taken to make the kingdom of Skyrim so realistic -- I just find myself getting bored very quickly.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning Review

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a single-player action RPG set on the mythical world of Amalur, and limited to the Faelands – one of the kingdoms. KoA: Reckoning was jointly developed by 38 Studios and Big Huge Games, and published by EA Games.

Great weapons; Interesting combat; Good graphics; design

No puzzle-based quests; No jump; climb ability; Not much else but combat

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

The minds behind Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning are certainly cultured in the world of fantasy RPGs. Ken Rolston brings his pedigree (and some Bethesda alumni with it) having worked on both The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind and its successor, Oblivion ; while accomplished fantasy writer R.A.

This game is amazing, but sadly all the Skyrim fanboys are flocking to every review site they can to hate on this gem. I absolutely LOVE this game. The combat is crisp and satisfying, and does require a lot of skill to fight enemies later in the game.

Kingdoms of Amalur: The Reckoning review

Great combat and mountains of loot cant compensate for Amalurs generic world design and familiar story.

Even the greatest role-playing games aren't necessarily known for their great combat. They're frequently praised for their ambitious worlds, their involving stories, and the element of choice. But when you talk about your favorite RPGs, it's not often that the action is what you talk about first.

Top-notch combat with a real punch; Fantastic; flexible character advancement; Some great-looking creatures; Extensive world with tons of stuff to do and lots of monsters to fight

Generic story and characters; Generic world; Generic quests
