Amazon Kindle Oasis Graphite 8GB WiFi B07L5GDTYY review

It’s marginally better than other eReaders on the market, but at a ridiculously expensive price point.

If you’ve got the Cash Money, this e-reader is the best you can buy. We can’t knock its hustle.

Fabulous lightweight design; Pristine screen; Easy-to-use software

Really; really expensive; No adaptive lighting

Amazon Kindle Oasis Graphite 8GB WiFi B07L5GDTYY review

The Kindle Oasis provides an awesome E Ink reading experience along with extra-long battery life, but the $290 price is a bit steep.

Even and bright light; Best-in-class content selection; Unique design with physical buttons; Intuitive interface

Expensive; Browser still awful

If you don't mind the high price, the Kindle Oasis is the best e-reader you can buy today.

The Kindle Oasis is the lightest Kindle yet at 4.6 ounces and is 3.4 mm at its thinnest point; A slim leather battery case is included and adheres magnetically to the device, bumping battery life up to a 9 weeks without WiFi on.

It's pricey; isn't any zippier than the Voyage or Paperwhite; and isn't waterproof.

Amazon Kindle Oasis Graphite 8GB WiFi B07L5GDTYY review

The Kindle Oasis has a revolutionary design, but is that enough to warrant the luxury price?

Unique and beautiful design; Included case with second battery; Lighter and more compact than any other e-reader

Not a big performance update compared to previous versions; Battery life may not be as impressive as claimed; Device weight becomes average when case attached

Amazon Kindle Oasis Graphite 8GB WiFi B07L5GDTYY review

The part of me that evaluates consumer electronics based on how they look and feel really likes the Oasis. It changes the Kindle in ways that make it more comfortable, and with its leather cover on it doesn’t even register as an e-reader unless you get up close.

Slimmer, sleeker, and altogether more usable design pushes the Kindle lineup forward; Redesigned body and physical buttons make it incredibly comfortable for one-handed use; Ten-LED frontlight is nice and even; Included battery case looks nice and extends the runtime to eight weeks.

Shorter battery life when separated from its case; No ambient light sensor, which is strange since this is a feature on the cheaper Kindle Voyage; The asking price is steep, and the Paperwhite is going to make the most sense for most buyers.

According to FCC documents , the Oasis actually has Bluetooth and text to speech functionality, but Amazon has not enabled these features yet via a firmware update. Maybe in the future they will allow it to connect up to series of new accessories.

High Resolution; Case has a built in battery; 10 LED lights make it the best Kindle to read at night; New Ember font is really good

The most expensive Kindle ever; Asymmetrical design takes some getting used to; If you turn the brightness level to max it drains the battery quickly; Rating; : 7.5/10

Amazon Kindle Oasis Graphite 8GB WiFi B07L5GDTYY review

I’m a huge fan of my Kindle Paperwhite . I bought it about a year ago and have cruised through dozens of books, reading night and day. It has, until the moment I set my hands on the Kindle Oasis, filled my every need for an eReader.

Amazon Kindle Oasis Graphite 8GB WiFi B07L5GDTYY review

The Kindle Oasis is a wonderful ereader and is a pleasure to use. Its asymmetrical design is the biggest jump forward for any Kindle yet. But that doesn't make it worth £270. The Kindle Paperwhite costs less than half that and is still an excellent ereader with a great screen.

Screen works well in all light conditions; excellent design; great selection of ebooks in Kindle Store

expensive; cover slightly ruins the e-reader's balance; not waterproof

Amazon Kindle Oasis Graphite 8GB WiFi B07L5GDTYY review

Amazon is out of its mind, and yet for some reason I’m considering opening my wallet and spending hundreds of dollars on a Kindle Oasis . The company’s new flagship ereader wows first with design, then with sticker-shock: closest yet in Amazon’s quest to dethrone paper with its digital replacement,...
