The Amazon Kindle Oasis is the best ebook reader money can buy, but the Kindle Paperwhite remains a more realistic choice for all but the most well-heeled readers.
Pros:
- Sharp, bright screen
- Long battery life extended by leather charging cover
- Ergonomic design
- Built-in accelerometer
- Vast ebook store.
Cons:
- Expensive
- Not waterproof
- Cover doesn't protect entire reader.

With Black Friday here, now is the best time to plump for the Oasis – if that’s the Kindle you’ve had your eye on. My biggest issue with it was the high price, and with some heavy discounts currently available it’s a much more appealing product.
Pros:
- Big and sharp display, Page-turning buttons are great, New “warmth” display setting is nice on the eyes
Cons:
- With the Paperwhite being so good, the Oasis is a hard sell, Lack of USB-C is annoying, Minimal updates from the previous model

If you don't mind the high price, the Kindle Oasis is the best e-reader you can buy today.
Pros:
- The Kindle Oasis is the lightest Kindle yet at 4.6 ounces and is 3.4 mm at its thinnest point
- A slim leather battery case is included and adheres magnetically to the device, bumping battery life up to a 9 weeks without WiFi on.
Cons:
- It's pricey
- isn't any zippier than the Voyage or Paperwhite
- and isn't waterproof.
