Amazon Kindle Oasis review: Wonderful e-reader, but at a ridiculous asking price
There are few brands in the world where the product itself becomes a category of sort. When it comes to copying, there's Xerox. When it comes to cola drinks, Coca-Cola stands out. Google is synonymous to search. And when it comes to e-readers, Kindle is the name with the most brand recall.

There's a lot to love about the Kindle Oasis, even if many of the core features are available on the significantly cheaper Kindle Paperwhite. But that's missing the point – and if you've got this far we'd bet that won't bother you.

Amazon Kindle Oasis review
There's no doubt that the Kindle Oasis is technically the best eReader you can get. Amazon has done a great job with the new design which is impressively small, light and ergonomic. The cover is a nice touch too and adds additional battery life to boot.

Amazon Kindle Oasis review: First class reader, first class price
The Amazon Kindle has been fairly predictable over the past few years, walking a path from button-laden ebook reader at its 2007 launch , all the way through to the ultra-refined and ultra-simple Paperwhite and Voyage generation. The Kindle exists for one reason and that's to read books.

Amazon Kindle Oasis
Reading on the Oasis is sublime. Simply tap the right or left side of the screen to turn pages, as you would on any other touch-screen Kindle. You can also use the physical Page Turn buttons on the side, which I found to be perfectly situated beneath my thumb.

I love the thing!
A great pick up, although I'm starting to notice slight ink burn as I'm moving from one page to the next. I've had the device for about three weeks now and I've charged it once. Honestly I could've went with the mid-tiered kindle but either way I'm happy with this purchase.
