Kindle Oasis review: is it better than a book?
The Kindle Oasis is a wonderful ereader and is a pleasure to use. Its asymmetrical design is the biggest jump forward for any Kindle yet. But that doesn't make it worth £270. The Kindle Paperwhite costs less than half that and is still an excellent ereader with a great screen.
Pros:
- Screen works well in all light conditions
- excellent design
- great selection of ebooks in Kindle Store

- expensive
- cover slightly ruins the e-reader's balance
- not waterproof

The Kindle Oasis is the best, and sexiest, ebook reader that money can buy – Period.
Pros:
- Super slim and beautiful screen
- Wide selection of books
- Includes leather battery cover
- Excellent page-turn buttons
- 2-month battery life
Cons:
- Expensive for an ebook reader
- You must buy your books from Amazon
- It's still not waterproof

With its sublime design, bright screen, and innovative battery cover, the Oasis is the best e-book reader we've used to date, but the price is awfully high for incremental improvements-and Special Offers still lurk.
Pros:

- Mature software and excellent ecosystem
- between Amazon's store and other supported formats
Cons:
- Flat-out expensive
- Still saddled with Kindle Special Offers
- which cost $20 to remove
- No support for audiobook playback

The Kindle Oasis is our favourite Kindle model so far, despite the lack of adaptive brightness. That slim and light build, along with the battery-packing cover, make this the most desirable eReader we've ever clutched. Unfortunately you'll have to dig deep if you want one.

There are few brands in the world where the product itself becomes a category of sort. When it comes to copying, there's Xerox. When it comes to cola drinks, Coca-Cola stands out. Google is synonymous to search. And when it comes to e-readers, Kindle is the name with the most brand recall.

Amazon Kindle Oasis review
There's no doubt that the Kindle Oasis is technically the best eReader you can get. Amazon has done a great job with the new design which is impressively small, light and ergonomic. The cover is a nice touch too and adds additional battery life to boot.
