Bought this as it had lots of attachments that I knew I would use. The spin system has not worked since I got it. It is not catching the blades to spin them and just burning the motor. Have to return it. Very disappointed. Going to get a different make instead.

The Kenwood HDP406WH is a pricey hand blender with five attachments. It can blend, whisk, chop, mash and make soup. It's a good blender, but there are too many attachments to store and they're not all necessary. Hand blenders are a paradox.

So pleased I bought this item as it is so versatile. Have only had it a few weeks but, so far, have used it for making several batches of soup (so much cheaper than a soup maker) and its great for mashing potatoes.

This was a present so cannot comment - but recipient thrilled as this will be extremely useful when new baby arrives.

It makes a fantastic creamy mash, the smoothies are perfect

I was in need of a food processor and a stick blender, and to have them in a combo has been great.

Reasonably priced and good quality

Living in a small flat I find this a really useful kitchen appliance as it does so many things and doesn't take up too much space. Good for one person who does not need to cook in great quantities (eg bowl is big enough to blend flour and fat for a batch of scones).

Powerful. Easy to clean. Easy to attach and detach each attachment. Love my new potato masher, no need for hand mashing with lumpy bits thrown in. Blended a soup yesterday, no soup spitting up my lovely kitchen tiles, very tidy with its wide skirt attachment.
