Just Cause 3 (for PlayStation 4)

Some games are really fun when you step outside of the intended gameplay cycle. Sandbox games like Grand Theft Auto V tend to be really enjoyable when you ignore missions and just play around in the world, seeing how much you can abuse and break the systems there.

Lots of dumb, physics-bending violence; Medici is a huge playground of guilt-free destruction; Grappling hook, parachute, tether, and wing suit make the game feel very active and liberating

Intended gameplay cycle is tedious; Takes too long to unlock the most fun mods and weapons; No official multiplayer

Just Cause 3

Ultimate freedom is the objective of Just Cause 3, a game in the open world adventure that continues the over the top destruction opportunities of its predecessors. Taking place half a decade after the popular Just Cause 2, the main character Rico Rodriguez returns once again to release an isla...

Ultimate destruction – New wingsuit and supply drops

Just Cause 3 Review – Delicious Destructible Violence Overshadows Framerate Troubles

Just Cause 3 has the unenviable task of coming out at the end of the year to capitalize on the Christmas rush. Normally, this is a wonderful time for a big name AAA release. Unfortunately, Just Cause 3 is following up some of the biggest titles that are out there with a new Fallout, a new Black Ops,...

Huge open world map; Explosive fun; Off the wall and wonderfully over the top

Horrendous load times; Occasional frame rate drop; Liberation missions are repetitive

Review: Just Cause 3

When I met Just Cause 3's game director , Roland Lesterlin, at this year's PAX Australia, he coined a new term, a ‘game-cation' saying "Just Cause is kind of a perfect game to go in and play for a few of hours, blow some stuff up and just get some sunshine, and wing-suit through the world.

Not really a review

I can't leave the rave review that I'm sure I'm going to leave when I get this game. It was a gift for my son but just cause 2 was great and this one looks even better. I love the jc franchise so I hope it's awesome

Just Cause 3 Review

Just Cause 3 is one of the best open world games of 2015. Avalanche Studios gives players endless possibilities in this sequel that one-ups its predecessor in nearly every way. While it's not quite as well-rounded as it could be with mundane driving and shooting segments, its destructive aspects and...

Just Cause 3 Review – Things That Make You Go Boom (PS4)

As previously mentioned, this game really isn't played for the story, and there's barely one present. The story is essentially there to give both Rico and the player a reason to find the most creative ways possible to killing soldiers and taking down bases.

Explosions; Optional challenges for optional upgrades; Hilarious dialogue; Finding new ways to tether people; cars; helicopters; and gas stations to make bigger explosions never gets old

Abysmally long load times; Not everyone will like the repetitive liberation; Story isn't deep; Gameplay isn't deep

The pine-scented countryside is pockmarked with deserted science stations. Ivy grows over warehouses and brutalist concrete buildings. Military structures-satellite dishes, radio towers, and fuel tanks-nestle in the hills. Every vehicle is military owned and operated.
