Jaybird's Run wireless earbuds are ruined by unreliable Bluetooth

When a representative for headphone company Jaybird pointed to the thin silver band that wraps around the outside of the company's new truly wireless earbuds, I let out an "ooh." After spending the last couple years testing countless truly wireless earbuds, and finding them lacking far too often at...

Comfortable fit; Customizable sound; Sweat resistant

Completely unreliable connection; Lackluster build quality

Jaybird Run True Wireless In-Ear Sports Headphones - Jet Black True wireless music with a secure comfort-fit

Awesome headphones. Comfy, fits well (doesn't fall out), sweat/water resistant & great battery life. I've used this everyday since I bought it and it's great!

Following on from last year's X3 Bluetooth earbuds, Jaybird has finally made the leap to true wireless with their new Jaybird RUN earbuds. With much the competition having reached the second generation of this particular category, the RUN earbuds suggest that Jaybird are hoping that slow-and-steady...

Great presentation; Comfortable to wear

Poor reliability; Not particularly durable

Jaybird Run review

Ever since Apple unveiled the AirPods in 2017, just about every audio company has been in a rush to release its own take on the ‘true wireless' in-ears, and the Run headphones are the first attempt from Jaybird.

Jaybird Run

If you're on head-fi, you're picky about sound quality. So if you haven't bought the Jaybird Run yet, maybe wait for v2.0 Or try it and make sure the store has a good return policy. Maybe it will fit your needs. As usual, YMMV.

Comfortable; Bluetooth connectivity issues have been fixed; Secure when running or doing vigorous workouts; builtin 5band parametric equalizer

Supports only SBC (no AAC or AptX); no multipoint connections (only one connected device at a time); no volume controls; noticeable latency in videos (especially the YouTube app

Jaybird RUN

Jaybird did not quite get "true wireless" right the first time, though the affordable retail price of S$299 might draw some users to give it a go. At this price range, I felt that the Samsung Gear IconX (2018) would be a better buy because of its additional functions like internal storage and...

Jaybird Run XT Review: These Waterproof Bluetooth Earbuds Fall Short

Jaybird's $180 Run XT doesn't offer as much for the money as Jabra's Elite Active 65t does, though the Jaybird buds are a solid option for outdoor-sports enthusiasts. If you don't need completely wireless fitness buds, try Jaybird's $160 Tarah Pro, a corded pair with lengthy battery life.

Sealed; Comfortable fit; New waterproof design for extreme weather

Battery life could be better; No ambient-noise option; Lag in video-playback syncing

JAYBIRD RUN Wireless Bluetooth Headphones - Jet Black

No cable is a real bonus Pretty easy pairing Nice charging case Sturdy feeling quality Loud Intuitive on headphone controls for volume/media

Weak bluetooth connection, couldn't sit at my desk and listen to them due to what sounded like interference; Never was fully comfortable with them in my ear, often worried about them falling out; I have returned them for some Sony MDR-1000Xs; Definite recommend for them..

Jaybird Run review: Jaybird's AirPods competitor is almost great

Jaybird Run is a set of totally wireless earphones that are Jaybird's sports-oriented answer to Apple's AirPods ($178 at Walmart). They retail for $180 (£170, AU$249) -- or $20 more than the AirPods -- and come in white and black.

If you can overlook the small interference issues, Jaybird's totally wireless Run earphones offer a great fit and strong sound.
