Jawbone's latest device – the UP Move – takes all of the best features of the UP24 bracelet and packs it into a smaller and much more affordable device. The UP Move is about the size of a stack of four dollar coins (27.4mm wide and 9.55mm thick) and can be attached to your clothing in a clip or...

Jawbone Up Move ( blue burst)

A year ago, the Jawbone Up24 was one of our favorite fitness bands: not necessarily for its band design, but because it connected with the excellent Jawbone Up app, one of the best fitness app ecosystems around.

An affordable step and sleep tracker that can be worn on your wrist or as a clip-on; syncs wirelessly with iOS or Android; LED display shows daily goal progress; replaceable battery lasts for months. The Jawbone Up fitness app is the best, most well-connected ecosystem around

The Up Move has an ugly design and can't be worn in shower or while swimming; The wristband is sold separately, and it lacks the vibration alarm of more expensive Up bands

Jawbone Up Move review: A $50 ticket to a great fitness app

A year ago, the Jawbone Up24 was one of our favorite fitness bands: not necessarily for its band design, but because it connected with the excellent Jawbone Up app, one of the best fitness app ecosystems around. Up is a one-stop software hub that tracks everything from steps to sleep to calorie intake, and even gives lifestyle coaching and delivers insights based on your accumulated habits.

The little Jawbone Up Move is an affordable entry to a great fitness app, though its design leaves something to be desired.

Jawbone Up Move review

For under £40, the Move is superb value. Although it doesn't track certain activities or height climbed, its great sleep tracking makes up for that. Soon you'll be able to buy the Up3 which will have considerably better sleep tracking but at this price, the Move is the best-value activity tracker around.

Jawbone Up Move Review

There's a fitness tracker for everyone now: the elite runner, the casual gym-goer, the newbie exerciser and everyone in between. For those out there who don't know where to start, the $50 Jawbone Up Move makes it simple.

Discrete, yet modern design; Bold and organized app; Smart Coach gives you easy-to-follow advice

Doesn't automatically detect sleep; Isn't waterproof

Jawbone UP Move

At only $49, the Jawbone UP Move is a great entry-level fitness tracker, with an app that's easy to use and indicator lights that make sense. The ability to change the form factor from wristband to clip-on device makes sense, but doesn't mitigate one little drawback: It's not stylish.

Inexpensive; Tracks steps, activities, and light and deep sleep; Includes multiple wristbands and a clip holster; Helpful indicator lights; Very good app

Unattractive. No true on-device display. Requires iOS or Android device; no computer syncing. No Web app. Not rechargeable. Sensors fairly rudimentary

Jawbone UP Move Review

Activity trackers help people come to grips with how much (or little) movement and sleep they get in a day. Figuring out your current habits of walking, exercising, and sleeping can be the first step toward making big changes to your health, because it gives you a baseline to beat and helps you set new goals that are truly within your reach. At only $49, the Jawbone UP Move is a very good entry-level activity tracker and is in many ways on par with the equally priced Misfit Flash ($74.95 at Amazon) . Comparable in many ways, they have two major differences: The Jawbone UP Move has a better app that gives you more information about your habits, but the Misfit Flash is much better looking. The Jawbone UP Move would make a great gift for someone using a fitness tracker for the first time—and the price is right—but it would likely disappoint a more experienced user looking to upgrade to a product that could provide a richer experience. For that camp, my recommendation is the Basis Pe...

Jawbone's UP Move is an inexpensive way to get into wearable fitness tracking. Unlike the Jawbone UP or UP24, the UP Move fitness tracker doesn't carry with it a heavy price tag. At $69, it's one of the cheapest simple activity trackers that you can buy.

Jawbone UP Move review

This is almost the perfect stocking filler. Not too expensive, but with a real practical function and solid features, the UP Move seems to find a good balance between affordability and performance.

Affordable price; Bluetooth 4.0; 6-month battery; Sleep and step tracking; At just AU$69.95 / US$49.99 / £39.99; the UP Move is easily the best value for money fitness tracker you can buy.

Colours not for everyone, UP app can be buggy, Wristband accessory expensive, The colour selection definitely sends a vibrant message that won't be to everyone's tastes; The Jawbone app – while impressive from a content perspective – still has quite a few bugs to iron out in both iOS and Android...
