Solid, except for occasional monitor issue

Small, light, quick, easy to set up and use. Only problem is that it's connected to my Dell monitor, and sometimes when I come in to use it, the monitor has gone into power save mode and I can't wake it up except by hard resetting the NUC to force a shut down and restart. That's super annoying.

My first one was ok until the Windows 10 update was run (it seemed like a big one, probably included the fall 2017 creators monster update). Near the end of the update, the monitor went black and displayed "Mode not Supported". After trying various fixes, I returned it.

Intel NUC 7 Home Mini PC Core i5 review: Portable but pricey

So, should you buy the Intel NUC 7 Where the Intel NUC really excels is in size and weight. It has the smallest footprint of any x86-based system we've reviewed and is the second lightest – which is bumped up by its mechanical hard drive.

Large stock storage capacity; Good performance; despite its 4GB of RAM; Very light and portable

Performance doesn't match the price tag; Could be improved with more RAM; Better competitor designs out there
