This is my second NUC. Old NUC Skull has become a home CCtV system now so splashed out on this new one and in terms of a device to run my home lab it’s perfect. Quick. Powerful. Loads of disk. Loads of virtual cores and runs MX Linux like a dream. Perfect to run my Windows 10 machines and loads of VMs using VirtualBox. Thoroughly recommended for the serious home hobbyist

Works great once you install all the updates. Wish it had more USB-C ports. Awesome as an office computer.

Great power for the size of the unit. Took a lot of searching to find the model that had the specs I required, because some are so bare-bones that they need extra stuff. I highly recommend the custom builder option to enable a complete build (unless you like working on hardware components).

Amazing little computer. If it had 2 or more thunderbolt ports, would get 5 stars. Only has 1 and it's been used by my eGPU. Just CPU benchmark is more than 50% faster than my amazing HP Spectre x360 13 ae00 with i7 4 core 8 threads. Even better with 32 Gb RAM!!

chepaer than anywhere else, a decent barebones box for the price and an overall decent computer. The fan is normally inaudible although under cpu intensive tasks the fan can be reasonably loud.
