Limited warranty

Limited warranty 5 months for parts and 5 months for labor. Based on this information i would skip this item ... if they only offer a 5 months warranty on this item then they must not trust their own quality control ... I've never heard of a warranty this short for any CPU !

Intel Core i5 6500: A Great Skylake CPU For $200, Works Well On Linux

With Skylake's retail availability improving, we're starting to see more of the Skylake processors in stock besides just the i5-6600K and i7-6700K. One of the other processors now widely available is the Core i5 6500, which is a step down from the Core i5 6600K, but retails at just $199 USD --...

Another Great Intel CPU

I have never had an Intel I series processor that did not work great, this is just another in the line.

Very fast, Integrated Graphics are Great!

-I was running the Doom demo on medium settings and getting 25 fps on integrated graphics - that blows my mind that an integrated could do that. 180 FPS for Day of Defeat Source, and 50 FPS in Borderlands 2 on high.

-Very fast; Runs cool with the stock cooler (31-Deg C browsing the internet with a youtube video playing in the background); Easy to install

-Packaging seemed to be the bare minimum needed to keep the CPU alive - very flimsy cardboard and plastic

good all arounder

this cpu works fine for all your gaming needs for next couple of years although there is one small consequence to it compared with say i5-4590. The consequence is that older hasswell cpu had heatsink with copper base which results in better heat transferring meaning lower temperatures, the new...

Way better than my last CPU

I like this chip. The onboard graphics actually aren't bad. They aren't going to stand up to a GTX or Radeon card but will hold up to some simple gaming. With my Arctic Cooling Liquid Freezer 120 I also can't break +10 degrees over room temperature running flat out for 30 minutes using BurnInTest.

Fast; Cool; Decent onboard graphics

Not unlocked; Doesn't have SBA (don't need it anyway

Fast and runs cool

Great for gaming and general multitasking, haven't been able to bottleneck it yet!

Lots of performance for a good price Comes with quiet stock heat sink (if you plan on using it 65W TDP runs very cool (Didn't go above 51° using Thermaltake Frio Silent 12; Prime95 for an hour

Locked multiplier (But thats why you get the 6600K if you plan on overclocking

Worst. The product was changed.

It is a worst order I have experienced. The product's outer box was core i5 but the product was a old and used 2 hand pentium but Amazon's outer box was perfect.
