If your looking for a great cheap processor this is your part. But if you intended to be able to multitask between various websites and be able to run high end games like World of Tanks and other games like that than do not get this product.

For mid level computing and high level gaming, I am very happy with this chip, I might upgrade to something with some more multitasking capabilities if I need to but this one is great so far, It does get a little choppy when I multitask sometimes but I can play online games and watch streaming...
I don't recommend this CPU to someone wanting to play triple A titles, I was helping a friend build a starter gaming PC, GTX 1060 and this i3 6300, honestly it was perfect on games like "the forest" which he initially only wanted to play and obviously holds up titles which are optimized great for...
A Really good processes. It doesn't bottleneck, the 1060 oc atleast. I'm actually mostly surprised about the fan, It keeps the CPU really cool. The package was a little bit damaged but everything was protected inside so :).
Skylake is Intel's latest processor architecture and, not surprisingly, it debuted in expensive quad-core chips: the took the lead. Now, though, a full range of dual and quad-core processors is available, starting from the £95.99 Core i3-6100T.
Fast single-core performance; Low power requirements; Skylake for under £100
Can't compete in multi-core benchmarks; A little slower in some games
The 6100 is a good little Low-Mid range Performer and for those who don't need much and don't want to risk overclocking is a very solid choice for even moderate gaming loads when paired with an adequate GPU.
this little guy has been great. I ran a stress test with the stock cooler and didn't hit 60c. it's quiet and runs smooth. I have it with 8gb of ram 0 issues at all. this thing gaming has had no issues.
Stock cooling in stress test 45-55C -Quick little thing for the price - technically 4 cores thanks to hyper threading
none
I would definitely recommend this processor, but under one condition. Do yourself a favor and get a motherboard from Asrock that allows overclocking on non-K SKU processors. I know everyone is under the impression that is no longer available, but IT IS!
-crushes anything in the same price point from AMD (at the moment with no ZEN yet); has hyperthreading which will help since this is only a dual core; GREAT OVERCLOCKING POTENTIAL- see my notes on this below
-only a dual core chip
Awesome budget cpu!
Great processor, I paired it up with a gtx 950 and 8gb of ram; Runs all my games perfectly

Great for office computers paired with 8GB ddr4 and an SSD. Very good 4 thread chip.
