Injustice: Gods Among Us

"...the bombastic super attacks are the epitome of crowd-pleasing." "No matter your playstyle, you'll find someone to love in Injustice." "The star of the show is the game's story mode...

Incredible roster and story mode; Smooth online play; Fan-service aplenty

Some spam-heavy characters; Controls initially feel rigid; Costumes suffer from DLC overkill

Injustice is a big game, for more than just the fact that it has Batman in it and he can punch Superman through a building. It marks a big change in fighting game design theory on NetherRealm's part, and while it still isn't without problems that have plagued the Mortal Kombat series since its...

Great new controls; tons of DC Comics flavor; GamePad play is great

Typical MK hangups still linger; messy character design

Injustice: Gods Among Us

As a comic book and Mortal Kombat fan, I was closely watching the development of NetherRealm's Injustice: Gods Among Us with great anticipation. How could it go wrong? The combination of a roster of beloved DC superheroes and villains along with the brilliant fighting mechanics that defined the...

Inspired comic book lunacy; excellent fighting mechanics for newbies and hardcore alike; fantastic interactive environments; plenty of content; balanced roster of fighters; solid multiplayer

Some comic purists may have issues with the story mode; the wonderful 2 on 2 co-op mode from Mortal Kombat has been given the axe; tutorials could be better

Injustice Gods Among Us

Imagine a world where the lines between good and evil have been blurred, where iconic heroes like Superman and Aquaman use their powers to control the world, rather than keep the peace.

Injustice: Gods Among Us

A heaping helping of DC Universe fan-service bundled in an aesthetically idiosyncratic fighting-game package, Injustice: Gods Among Us is both a big, bold (sometimes recklessly so) attempt by NetherRealm Studios to outshine their estimable Mortal Kombat reboot and a galumphing valentine to diehard...

I'll just come right out and state it: Injustice: Gods Among Us is everything you wanted and hoped for with DC Vs. MK . I admit even I was a bit leery when I recalled all the flaws the last time DC characters were put into a fighting game, but considering Netherrealm's last devolpment in the almost...

Review: Injustice: Gods Among Us (Sony PlayStation 3)

For a long time, the Mortal Kombat games were the red headed stepchild of the fighting game genre. Generally poo-pooed in terms of gameplay and balance compared to franchises like Street Fighter and The King of Fighters , Mortal Kombat still had a strong but loyal fanbase.

Injustice: Gods Among Us learns a lot from the last Mortal Kombat game, but it's not a simple clone of the developer's past work. Its unique fighting system, deep move lists, and practice options give you something to learn and places to learn it.
