inFamous: Second Son Review

I couldn't care about the inFamous backstory, despite its status as a fan-favorite franchise among the Sony camp. I received inFamous and inFamous 2 either via PlayStation Plus or in an effort by Sony to make good on the PlayStation Network hacking attacks, and neither hooked me enough to see the...

Infamous Second Son

The third chapter in the Infamous series. Gain new powers as you adventure through the story as Delsin Rowe. Parkour elements make it easy to move around the city. Make good or evil decisions to drive the story and your abilities. PlayStation 4 exclusive title.

Plenty of game freedom – Graphics bring the world to life – Lots of unique and powerful skills

Some repetitive mission design – Bland story direction

InFamous: Second Son Review

Infamous: Second Son builds on the best of the previous games in the series, even while mired in repetition.

Switching powers keeps things fresh; Moving around the city is a blast; Challenging; but balanced fights

Repetitive sidequests; Missed opportunities in the story; Somewhat generic story missions

InFamous: Second Son Review

It's taken just over five months and now we finally have a PS4 exclusive that is the almost perfect showcase for Sony's current gen console. It might not be a system seller in the way that Titanfall for the Xbox One is, but it makes a significantly greater impression than Knack or Killzone: Shadow...

Stunning lighting effects; Enjoyable combat; Impressive open-world environment

Morality system needs more depth; Side missions are forgettable

Infamous: Second Son Review: Fast paced action, spectacular graphics, shows true potential of PS4

Infamous: Second Son, the new installment in popular Infamous video-game franchise looks spectacular on Playstation 4. The hard work development team at Sucker Punch put into this lastest installment has paid off really well.

InFamous: Second Son review

Is this the game that PS4 owners have been crying out for Possibly. This loose sequel to inFamous 2 , developed by Sucker Punch Productions and exclusive to Sony's next-gen console, is a graphical tour de force that makes the most of the processing power on offer, painting a gorgeous, spookily-lit...

InFAMOUS: Second Son review – 'a hell of a lot of fun'

Efforts to move the series forward centre more on narrative and characterisation than gameplay, but the strength of Delsin and Reggie's relationship makes it work. Even though the final package feels like a tweak rather than generational improvement, it's a hell of a lot of fun, and that can't...

Second Son's gorgeous visuals, fun powers, likeable main character and its beautiful, well-realised open world make it the best PS4 game released so far.

inFAMOUS Second Son Review (PS4)

Let's get the visuals out of the way. Second Son is a beautiful game. From the lighting, to the atmosphere and the particle effects - every tiny bit of this game looks great and will easily become a benchmark against which future PlayStation 4 games are measured.

Incredible audio design and implementation; Stunning visuals and animations; Delsin Rowe; Delsin and Reggie's relationship; Solidarity and meticulous detail of the complete game

The broader story is very simple; Combat doesn't require much strategy and can seem repetitive towards the end; Details in the city can be overlooked if you only focus on objectives
