Let's get the visuals out of the way. Second Son is a beautiful game. From the lighting, to the atmosphere and the particle effects - every tiny bit of this game looks great and will easily become a benchmark against which future PlayStation 4 games are measured.

The broader story is very simple; Combat doesn't require much strategy and can seem repetitive towards the end; Details in the city can be overlooked if you only focus on objectives

An enjoyable open-world brawl, but it's neither truly next-gen, nor is it greater than the sum of its parts

Despite all of that fear and hatred, InFamous: Second Son is still a game about finding freedom by figuring out who you are. The rapid expansion of Delsin’s powers is constantly engaging, and there’s no reason to believe there couldn’t be more released later on as downloadable content.

Sometimes, it's arduous. At almost all times, it's underwhelming. The only innovation to be found is in its knack for being somehow less than the sum of its parts.

While it departs from the first two games' obvious infatuation with comic-book style empowerment, Second Son is still very much a game that encourages you to break free of the shackles and cause some havoc.

One of Sony's Playstation 4 big hitters looks set to be the exclusive Infamous: Second Son title, due out in 2014. Ahead of release Pocket-lint got to preview the game in action at this year's E3 gaming expo in Los Angeles, California, and can already confirm that it's looking hot.

As fan of the previous games in the series inFAMOUS, inFAMOUS 2 and inFAMOUS Festival of blood. This game and fresh storyline along with its graphics took it to the next level. Great use of the PS4 graphics made it even more immersive. wether playing Hero or Villain the choice is yours.

Have played all Infamous games and this is the most fluid one yet. The powers are wicked and the acting is great. Highly addicted to playing this at the moment – My mind boggles to think what Sucker Punch will do next. Must buy, best game yet on PS4.
