son very happy with them - only passing comment would be that the microphone could be smaller and fit a little bit more securely - doesn't take away from the fact that headsets are very good and comfortable

Just bought them. I would recommend for FPS games as it's really good for sound cues. Also the base is really nice when listening to music. Also for what it is the detachable mic is legit the best invention ever created in history!
If you like music quality I do not suggest this headphone but I do enjoy gaming with these with the mic. This review was modfied by poster @ 04-09-17 08:48 AM
Nice Looking; Build Quality; Good for Gaming with the 7.1 and mic
Only 16 bit sound when using the USB cable device, Music sound "Muffled" with way too much treble; It hurt my ears
Excellent sound, but had problems with the in line volume control for the microphone - it simply refused to work (Windows 10) so the microphone level was much too low. In the end I bought a cable splitter and just use them with the simple 3.5 mm jack connector (the ‘smart' in line controls are in...
Amazing, recommend this headset to anyone, including the other models in the series (owned the previous downgraded model).
-Comfort is amazing; has interchangable pads for soft or leather feel; even forget you have it on which is a goal for me with headsets -great mic; all my friends say it sounds pretty clean -USB control for 7.1 is really fun; sound has been perfect for what I need; especially with the frequency range...
-the adapter for headphone jack to headphone and microphone jacks is a small adapter that has a specified length so it doesnt work on all systems -Havent seen any ways that its been negative yet
Received these today ive had several headsets over the years these are by far the best ive had after testing them out opt for these not turtle Beach's. One downside was there didn't come with the latest update for PS4 which enables the volume control on the sound card but after a simple quick update...
If you want a good-sounding gaming headset for less than $100, the HyperX Cloud II ($99) is one of the most comfortable, stylish options you can buy. The headset's virtual 7.1 surround-sound capabilities do an admirable job of highlighting your games' more subtle sounds, and its lightweight design...
Best-in-class comfort; Stylish; lightweight design; Includes both pleather and plush ear covers
Lackluster bass; No software for customizing sound
When buying a gaming headset, most of us never intend to use it exclusively for gaming. Provided it's a good set, with a 3.5mm connection and lux sound, then it's equally good as a regular stereo headphone.
The Kingston HyperX Cloud II is a well-built, comfortable, excellent-sounding gaming headset that comes with its own optional USB sound card. It's generous with accessories, and will work with all computers and mobile devices, and most game systems out of the box.
Attractive, understated design; Solid build quality; Works with PCs and mobile devices as well as most modern game systems
Virtual 7.1-channel surround isn't effective; Besides the USB sound card, cable isn't detachable
Our favourite gaming headset just got better with 7.1 digital surroundbut it's also driven down the price of its predecessor, so choosing between Cloud models is a tough call.
