Huawei P10 is a really smart phone. It applies artificial intelligence (AI) to boost the performance of apps and the scrolling experience. Huawei claims that apps open 20% due to AI technology.

The phone sports a 5.1-inch screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 px. The latest flagship phone is powered by the in-house developed Kirin 960-processor and has 4 GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 64 GB.

Huawei skins the standard Android version with the EMUI skin, which ensures a slick and unique user interface onto of the Android operating system.

P10's battery capacity is sizeable at 3,200 mAh, but still 14.6% lower than that of the larger Huawei P10 Plus model.

The co-operation with Leica guarantees a high-quality camera. the dual rear camera combines a 20 MP monochrome sensor with a 12 MP colour sensor. The monochrome sensor collects details and light while the colour one applies colours.

The call quality is excellent thanks to the four mini-antennas that boost signal strength in low-coverage areas.

Huawei P9 vs Huawei P10 comparison review

While the Huawei P9 is a great smartphone, it can't quite compete with its successor, the P10. The P10 features faster internals, a bigger base storage, improved cameras and a range of new colour options – what's not to like?

Huawei P10: Australian Review

Last year, we fell in love with the Huawei P9 's excellent dual cameras and straightforward approach to Android. But it's half-way through a new year, and that means Huawei's P10 has a tough act to follow and some strong alternatives.

We loved Huawei's P9 ‘Leica phone' last year. It redefined what photography with a phone could be. Now here's its successor, the P10. Can it be as revolutionary or is it evolutionary? Earlier this week we reviewed the P10 Plus which is a larger, super-charged version of this.
Pros:
  • Excellent camera
  • Fast
Cons:
  • Low-light colour performance still iffy

Huawei P10 smartphone review

If you can't run to the more-expensive P10 Plus this is a superb, powerful mid-range phone thanks to the brilliant Leica camera and beefy processors. We loved Huawei’s P9 ‘Leica phone’ last year. It redefined what photography with a phone could be. Now here’s its successor, the P10. Can it be as revolutionary or is it evolutionary? Earlier this week we reviewed the P10 Plus which is a larger, super-charged version of this. It has a bit more memory, a bigger, higher-resolution screen and, supposedly, some better optics. However, in terms of functions and features, it’s basically the same. We were certainly impressed with the P10 Plus, but can you happily save $200 by buying this instead? Let’s find out…
Pros:
  • Excellent camera
  • Fast
Cons:
  • Low-light colour performance still iffy

Huawei P10

Huawei is not afraid to aim high. The Chinese manufacturer came to the western market in relative obscurity just a few years ago, and is now the world's third biggest phone manufacturer. Within five years, it says, it wants to be the first.
Pros:
  • Premium build
  • Innovative camera format
  • Fast performance
  • Great pictures in good light
Cons:
  • Screen tends to be oversharp
  • Music lacks bite
  • Low-light photography could be better
  • Heavy-handed UI

Huawei P10 Review

Huawei, to their credit, does a really good job at listening to feedback. Their EMUI overlay was getting skewered, and they fixed most of its problems. The P9 got docked for looking a little plain, and the company responded with lots of color options and distinctive textured backs.
Pros:
  • Beautiful slim design with Textured back on some models that looks and feels great
  • solid premium performance
  • huge improvements to the EMUI software
  • great color options
Cons:
  • So-so battery life
  • camera struggles in low-light conditions
  • display lags behind premium competitors
  • unimpressive speakers

Perfect.

Very fast delivery. Came with an adaptor because they knew I'm going to use it in the US. Also the screen is already protected and has a transparent case. Great deal !

Another year, another smartphone from the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world (by market share) that is somehow playing catch-up in the public consciousness. Quite how Huawei, a Chinese manufacturer that shipped almost 140 million smartphone units in 2016, maintains an underdog status...

Huawei P10 camera review

The Huawei P10 combines good imaging performance and features with premium build quality and fairly compact dimensions. There are better options around for video shooters but the P10 performs very well in stills mode, especially in lower light. The DNG Raw files offer a lot of potential for image quality optimization as well.
Pros:
  • Low-light shooting, Raw capture and playing with camera features
Cons:
  • Video-shooting and busy days without recharging opportunities
