Just like the movie, but a little hard for kids

Game looks great, fun at first, but to train and take care of the dragon is a little challanging for a 6 year old. Overall it's still a fun game.

PS3 Review - 'How to Train Your Dragon'

On paper, How to Train Your Dragon sounds like a good idea for a children's game based on the recent DreamWorks film. Let players collect and customize their own dragons, and then have them battle it out in a standard fighting game.

A Movie Tie-In That's Not A Drag

The island of Berk is your typical Viking community where daily activities include wrestling chickens and sheep, busting barrels, toppling rocks, and of course fighting dragons. Like the title states, you will learn how to train your dragon.

How to Train Your Dragon

Tons of licensed games come pouring out of development studios around this time of the year, and many of them are forgotten before they even drop. How to Train Your Dragon is probably doomed to such a fate, and what's worse is that it deserves it.

How to Train Your Dragon

How to Train Your Dragon, released earlier this year, is a good animated film about a Viking boy and how he comes to be not quite a wimp. Also there are dragons. It's a great film, you should see it! The game based on the movie, however, is not as stellar a piece of media.

Lots of visual customization of dragons; challenges are decent little diversions

Combat is dull and lacks variety; no differences in the different dragons' abilities; only one extra dragon that isn't featured in the film

How to Train Your Dragon Review

I went to the theater and saw How To Train Your Dragon in anticipation of reviewing this game. Makes sense, right I thought that seeing the movie would give it a bit more weight and that I'd enjoy the title on the same level as any kid who's going to want to play with their favorite dragon from the...

A huge grind; Boring; phoned-in minigames; Dragon poop-scoopery; Disappointing visuals; Detracts from the movie experience
