When the Vive and the Oculus Rift came out in the spring of 2016, they did something incredible: they made VR actually worth caring about. Previously, the closest thing people had come to virtual reality were weird sci-fi movies or half-baked products like the Virtual Boy .
Pros:
  • More comfortable to wear
  • higher resolution optics
  • more streamlined design Built-in headphones don't fit super tight
  • expensive

HTC Vive Pro review: The best VR experience, bar none... if you can afford one

The HTC Vive Pro includes a number of different design improvements that potentially make it a worthwhile upgrade for current HTC Vive owners. It's more comfortable, easier to use, features stunning visuals and much better sound, but it also comes with a hefty price tag.
Pros:
  • Incredible visual improvements
  • Excellent Hi-Res and spatial sound enhancements
  • Comfortable fit and easy adjustment
  • Single connection improvement
Cons:
  • It's really expensive (as no controllers or base stations included)
  • DisplayPort only connection
  • Still not wireless
  • 90Hz rather than 120Hz refresh rate
