Amazing

Absolutely amazing. I've had the htc vive and this is far superior I'm an avid sim race and flight sim enthusiast and this headset makes it look real enough to become more immersed. I've had to turn on supersampling and asynchronous reprojection In steam.

So much fun!

I have been having so much fun. I waited a month for this but it was well worth the wait. I haven't played with the previous equipment but the tracking works very well. The shells for the 1.0 work on these controllers as well from my experience.

Comparing many maufacturers and Vive Pro is at the top

I wanted NOT to like this. It does help getting an open box at Micro but still costly. At first I hated it but in the end it was that I'd gotten used to Windows Mixed Reality (WMR) Portal. Steam has it's own idiosyncrasies and the Vive too has it's own. You need to get used to each for a few hours.

HTC Vive Pro review: The best VR experience, bar none... if you can afford one

The HTC Vive Pro is undeniably the best virtual reality experience available today... if you can afford it. There are a multitude of improvements over the original headset. The Pro is more comfortable, easier to pop on and off thanks to the new adjustment wheel, and its better fit makes for greater...
Pros:
  • Incredible visual improvements
  • Excellent Hi-Res and spatial sound enhancements
  • Comfortable fit and easy adjustment
  • Single connection improvement
Cons:
  • It's really expensive (as no controllers or base stations included
  • DisplayPort only connection
  • Still not wireless
  • 90Hz rather than 120Hz refresh rate

The HTC Vive Pro is the VR headset successor to the first Vive . The Oculus Rift rival launched almost two years ago and since then the focus has been on making minor upgrades to enhance that VR experience.
Pros:
  • Slightly easier to setup
  • Great addition of integrated headphones
  • Improved resolution
Cons:
  • Doesn't include controllers/wireless adaptor
  • Also lacks new base stations
  • Still mighty expensive

Good upgrade

Ok if you have spare cash and well into vr I would defo Recommend this. One major thing from the vive to the pro is being able to read The writing clearly in vr. The clarity of games seems so much better and you soon get use to the display.

Vive brings augmented reality to the HTC Vive Pro

Before dwelling on the negatives (price, primarily) let's recap what the HTC Vive Pro does right. It's a nicer, better-looking, better-feeling device which no longer hurts your neck and thus can be used for longer periods.
Pros:
  • Improved specs
  • Exceptional comfort
  • Simple Setup
  • Best VR headset in 2018
Cons:
  • Expensive
  • High PC spec demands
  • Not enough improvements
