Comparing many maufacturers and Vive Pro is at the top

I wanted NOT to like this. It does help getting an open box at Micro but still costly. At first I hated it but in the end it was that I'd gotten used to Windows Mixed Reality (WMR) Portal. Steam has it's own idiosyncrasies and the Vive too has it's own. You need to get used to each for a few hours.

HTC Vive Pro review: VR elevated in every way… especially the price

The Pro is a definite improvement, but it's only a v1.5 stop gap until the truly next-generation VR devices start to appear and an unfeasibly expensive one at that.

So much fun!

I have been having so much fun. I waited a month for this but it was well worth the wait. I haven't played with the previous equipment but the tracking works very well. The shells for the 1.0 work on these controllers as well from my experience.

HTC Vive Pro review: More luxury than landmark

The lack of significant differences between the experiences you get out of this and the regular Vive leave the Vive Pro looking more like a luxury product than it is a landmark one.
Pros:
  • Best-in-class display resolution
  • Versatile ergonomics
Cons:
  • Disappointing headphones
  • Relies on DisplayPort

Vive brings augmented reality to the HTC Vive Pro

Before dwelling on the negatives (price, primarily) let's recap what the HTC Vive Pro does right. It's a nicer, better-looking, better-feeling device which no longer hurts your neck and thus can be used for longer periods.
Pros:
  • Improved specs
  • Exceptional comfort
  • Simple Setup
  • Best VR headset in 2018
Cons:
  • Expensive
  • High PC spec demands
  • Not enough improvements

HTC Vive Pro

If you have both the financial and hardware resources for it, the HTC Vive Pro is a thing of beauty. It offers a higher resolution than the standard Vive and can take games from ‘good looking' to ‘gorgeous'.
Pros:
  • Improved visual fidelity
  • Built-in headphones
  • Gradually improving game library
Cons:
  • Price isn't absolutely justified
  • Jitteriness with all non-new hardware
  • There's still no must-own title

Amazing

Absolutely amazing. I've had the htc vive and this is far superior I'm an avid sim race and flight sim enthusiast and this headset makes it look real enough to become more immersed. I've had to turn on supersampling and asynchronous reprojection In steam.
