HTC Evo 3D

The HTC Evo 3D is most definitely in possession of a neat party trick, but it's not enough to make the phone a must-buy. Still, if you're about to upgrade and you don't mind putting up with poor battery life to get glitzy 3D, then it's worth a look.
Pros:
  • Glasses-free 3D
  • large, 4.3-inch screen
  • runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread
  • 3D photo and video capture
Cons:
  • Bulky and heavy
  • poor battery life
  • 3D effect can't be switched off

The revolutionary Sprint HTC EVO 3D Smartphone – review

Overall, the EVO 3D seems like a powerful device considering the hardware. Sure, it is not the top-notch technology when it comes to the cameras, however, the two-stage camera button easily compensates for that.

Review: HTC EVO 3D

There's no question the EVO 3D is a lightning-fast workhorse. The latest entry into HTC's flagship line of Android phones has a dual-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon chip, and the rest of the specs are equally as impressive on paper as they are in practice. It makes crystal-clear phone calls, too.
Pros:
  • The 3-D filming feature is fun, plain and simple, regardless of its limitations
  • Cloud-based music and video streams without major hiccups
  • Screen resolution is amazing
  • Call quality is a double thumbs up
Cons:
  • Battery life is less than optimal
  • Bootloader should be unlocked
  • The included 8GB microSD card is not enough storage, especially for a phone capable of 3-D captures
  • Device doesn't come with ear buds
  • I want my kickstand
  • Google Voice notifications repeatedly failed in my tests

HTC EVO 3D Review

The HTC EVO 3D, a dual-core 4G HTC device with what may appear at first to have everything its predecessor had and more, what with the fashionably red-framed dual-LED flash-having 3D camera at the back.

HTC EVO 3D in-depth review -

It can be no surprise that so few manufacturers have taken a stab at the 3D market. LG had a go a few months back with the novel, but highly flawed, Optimus 3D, and now HTC has taken the plunge with the Evo 3D.
Pros:
  • It?s 3D (if you?re into that sort of thing), has a solid build, nice big screen and packs super dual-core processing muscle
  • It also has the latest version of Android and HTC Sense
Cons:
  • The 3D hurts your eyes, gives you a headache and the novelty wears off fast
  • The fact that it?s almost impossible to share your 3D pictures with anyone doesn?t help

  • lots of RAM
  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread
  • high-resolution display
Cons:
  • Poor battery life
  • slow 3G data
  • overbearing UI
  • poor camera performance
  • poor display viewing angle and 3D performance
