Forgot to mention in earlier post; I am really impressed with the clarity of phone conversations on this phone too. Somebody mentioned that a Nexus 4 would be a better choice for the money.

I transferred my Sim to my old dumb phone...

However, my son came for a visit and we managed over three days to tailor the phone to my taste (depart loads of apps!). Now I have smoothly running phone and I love it. Sleek, white, responsive, but it did need experience to start it all off.

Having been a long-time Blackberry user(and before that Palm) my first impressions of this phone were 'wow'. The screen is superb (and plenty big enough), it's lightning fast and the user interface is very easy to use.

Fantastic phone

Picture and sound quality are excellent. very clear screen even when the brightness is set to minimal. modern and very stylish design. battery is good for moderate users and not heavy users.at this price i don't think there are better handsets.

Good one

I was very confused before purchasing the phone as this was my first smart phone. I have never used other smart phone regularly so I am not going to purchase this with any other. I mainly purchased this one for apps and music.

HTC Desire X Review: A mid range crowd pleaser

The Desire X is HTC's mid range device aimed at the "average user" who is intrigued by the idea of an Android powered smartphone yet still enjoys the simpler things in life. The Desire X ticks all the necessary boxes with a discreet design, easy to understand interface and surprisingly good super...

HTC Desire X full review [video]

With most people talking about which high-end Android phone to get for the holidays, let's break the mold for a bit and expand our options. There, in fact, are affordable Android phones also worthy to be scribbled onto our holiday lists, one of which is HTC's newest in its mid-range line - the HTC...

Similar to some of the other HTC phones I've reviewed recently, the specifications on the HTC Desire X won't blow you away, but they aren't too shabby either. The dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon S4 processor provides plenty of horsepower, so running through apps and swiping through screens for the most...

HTC Desire X

The five-megapixel snapper impresses with a great selection of features and impressive results, unless taking shots in low light. Music sounds better thanks to Beats Audio, although we'd have liked to see more onboard storage.

User-friendly Sense interface; Beats Audio; Lengthy battery life; Bright, colourful screen

Couple of glitches; onboard storage could be better; odd back panel fit; snapper shutter suffers from lag

HTC Desire X review

The HTC Desire X falls into a space between the HTC One V and the HTC One S, but is more restrained in its design. There are some points where the Desire X has been squeezed on the spec sheet: the lack of front facing camera and limited HD support being notable.

Compact; affordable; respectable screen size; microSD card slot

There's nothing to get really excited about
