HTC Desire X Review

Last time when HTC had a serious contender positioned in the mid-range Android category was when the One V hit the shelves. It was a cute little handset with good build quality and adequate performance.
Pros:
  • Attractive design
  • Good screen quality
  • Performance is top notch
Cons:
  • Horrible physical buttons
  • Low on native storage space

Having been a long-time Blackberry user(and before that Palm) my first impressions of this phone were 'wow'. The screen is superb (and plenty big enough), it's lightning fast and the user interface is very easy to use.

HTC Desire X review: one last hurrah for a former flagship?

We liked the idea of HTC doing away with its confusing approach to phone releases, and seemingly random naming convention (Sensation? Explorer?). So, we're still a little curious as to why the Desire brand lives on.
Pros:
  • Nice look and feel
  • Vibrant display
  • Sense should please owners of previous HTC handsets
  • newcomers to Android
Cons:
  • Dated specifications
  • Occasional performance glitches

decent mid range kit

Good spec android set, very thin and light. Set up is pretty simple, had to fiddle about with router config to get it linked to wifi but no real hassle. Good phone all round.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Spec
Cons:
  • Build quality

Premium finish HTC Desire X is a mid-range device that is meant for all round casual usage sans any video recording. HTC has introduced a new style of branding phones with single or double letters at the end. So far, we have seen the Desire and One series of Android smartphones available globally.
Pros:
  • Premium finish and comfortable grip
  • Lighter and smoother software performance
Cons:
  • Lacks front facing camera
  • Doesn't support 720p HD recording and playback
  • Costlier than rival models
