x2301: Glossy display boasts unusual design
The glossy-screened HP x2301 , with its dark gray bezel, aluminum trim, and green-tinted translucent base, is certainly out to make an impression. Unfortunately, this 23-inch monitor's performance isn't nearly as impressive as its design.
Pros:
- Striking design
Cons:
- Mediocre screen performance

This is one of the best monitors I've had
This monitor is amazing I've ever had, I've had it about a year now and it's truly great.
Pros:
- It has great image quality and a amazingly large screen size
Cons:
- You must spend money on a high quality graphics card that cost a lot

HP x2301
With the HP x2301 ($249.99 direct) you don't get much in the way of extra features, but this 23-inch TN monitor will add a touch of style to your workspace without taking up much room.
Pros:
- Stylish design
- Thin, space-saving profile
- Good color, motion, and small text quality
Cons:
- Narrow viewing angles
- Tilt-only stand
- So-so grayscale performance

I feel like I am in the future
Arrived in about 2 days after ordering. Good service on delivery. In my opinion the picture doesn't look quite as good as my 3 year old Dell monitor although it still has a great crisp and clear picture. I think it is the color difference that makes me take pause.

HP x2301 Review
While it can't match the viewing angle or contrast of pricier monitors with IPS panels, the x2301 will make a majority of users extremely happy for the $249 price tag...
Pros:
- Incredibly thin display panel
- Sharp
- colorful picture
- Effective antiglare coating
- Practical base-mounted buttons
- connections
- Low power consumption
Cons:
- Little room for adjustment
- no VESA mounts
- Sometimes quirky interface

Love it
This monitor is very shinny and reflects everything, however, I think that is why it looks so great. I have a plasma TV that is the same way and I love it so much more then my LED TV that is not reflective. Very sturdy and I do love the base with the controls in it.
Pros:
- Picture
Cons:
- I wish it had an adjustable hieght

This monitor is great. Love the style, love the quality of display. I'm using DVI input and don't see how this could look any better. Choice is also VGA or HDMI. Price was pretty good too.

Fine Lines
Get it straight people. HP's new x2301 monitor isn't thin, it's Micro Thin . What exactly does Micro Thin mean? Well, we'll skip today's lesson on redundancy, and just presume it's a new adjective for describing things measuring 9.8mm (0.39 thick) or less - because that's how thin the x2301 is.
