This printer is WONDERFUL. I had a 4500 HP Color Laser Jet that I bought in 1999 and it worked great until this year. I kept getting power cycle errors and could not depend on it. This printer is FASTER, the colors are 'true', it is easier to clean/change cartridges. I LOVE it.

The first color laser I owned that prints fairly good photos, comparable to many pelvic printers with HP's mat or shiny "Photo Paper 200g" also has a "Adobe RGB" mode. After calibrated it with "ColorMunki" and printed calendars (for family & friends) with images for 2 years now, I am still impressed...

Fantastic printer. Amazingly fast
Fantastic printer. Amazingly fast, does about 18-20ppm in duplex mode which is faster than my canon MFC8380 did in single-sided mode. great printer!!
Easily the best color laser printer in this price range.
Pros:
- Great quality and fast
- A real steal for the price! It is even better than I thought it would be
Cons:
- Default graphics settings for images are blurry
- but once we changed the settings it works like a champ

HP has always provied excellent quality printers
HP has always provided me and my family with quality printers. It is the only brand that I trust.
Pros:

- should have bought the one with duplex capability

Like most color laser printers, the HP M551dn carries a one-year warranty. Running costs are "reasonably low," says Hoffman at PCMag.com: 1.8 cents per page for black and white and 13 cents for color.

Great printer
This printer is really living up to its name. I takes the heavier paper and prints quickly and quietly. Hope it lasts as long the the previous Hp we had.

So Far So Good
Setup was very easy. Very good looking machine. The quality of color prints is excellent. Color photos, are okay, but not great. We are still working with different settings and papers to try to improve the photo quality. Also noticed some of the prints were not aligned properly.

Makes my life so much easier
The automatic duplexing feature on this printer saves me so much time. We have always purchased HP printers because of their reliability - but the features of the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 500 (especially the print quality) surpasses all my expectations.

Too many flaws, not worth the money
I bought this printer to replace my one year old(!) HP CP4025n which had many problems and I was really hoping this printer would have all those problems resolved since it's a newer model. Unfortunately, all the problems the CP4025n has, this printer has too - and some.
Pros:
- Fast warm-up time
- fast printing
- adjustable paper type settings
Cons:
- Terrible color reproduction
- prints too big or slanted on special media (like cardstock)
- too many problems with toners
