Great features for a reasonably-priced printer

Easy to set up; Worked right out of the box; HP software very useful for printing and scanning over my network; Superb photo printing directly from my iPhone

Multi-page scanner works only from the network, not locally; Ink is expensive

HP Envy Photo 7830 review

The Envy Photo 7830 turns out to be a great all-rounder, pumping out everyday black-and-white or colour prints at decent speeds and delivering consistently good output. As a photo printer it's more above average than awesome, but the prints still look good enough for quick snaps, filling photo...

Impressive speeds; Good all-round print quality; Well-priced

Big and chunky; Scan software lacks options; Can be expensive to run

HP Envy Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer

There was a time in which HP's Envy all-in-one printers, which were introduced in 2010, were all about style-at the expense of features and performance. The 7855 is still stylish, though in a tasteful, understated way.

Above-par photo quality; Good range of connectivity choices; 35-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF); Fax capabilities; Automatic duplexer

Ink costs on the high side if you buy individual cartridges; Slightly subpar graphics quality; Limited paper capacity pegs it for light duty or personal use

This photo-centric AIO prints good-looking documents and photos, and, with an Instant Ink subscription, at low cost. (The photos look good, too, if shy of five- and six-ink competitors.)

Good overall print; copy; scan quality; Easy to set up and use; Small and light; Instant Ink compatible; making for inexpensive photos; Support for Wi-Fi Direct; SD cards; USB drives

Two-tank ink delivery; instead of four discrete cartridges; High cost per page without Instant Ink

We are thrilled with the print quality of the Envy. Being wireless, we can print from our phone,iPad and computer, which makes it efficient and a great time saver. Wonderful color quality. Great recommendation and knowledge of the product from the sales person, too.

Display Screen; Easy to Use; Performance; Quiet; beautiful photo quality and accurate color

would recommend better manual for use

HP ENVY Photo 7830 Wireless All-in-One Printer

An amazing printer for the home, very professional in appearance, surprisingly quite, and quick to print. Unbelievably simple to install and print/copy quality is outstanding for such an inexpensive product. Would recommend without hesitation.

HP Envy Photo 7830 review

HP's premium Envy model has all the features you might need in your home office and specialises in printing finely detailed photos.

An Instant Ink sub keeps you printing; Helpful touchscreen interface; Print from and to email; Front SD card and USB flash ports

Bulbous design takes up too much room; Coloured inks are combined in one cartridge; Replacement ink is expensive; Reliability issues
