One of the two machines broke down when it overheated due to a defective fan. Waiting to see how well they fix it
Only bought this today. It is very thin and light, boot up takes about 5 seconds, it uses facial recognition to unlock. Screen is very sharp and makes photos look amazing. Couldn't believe how loud the speakers were for such a small machine.
With world-class good looks, boundary-pushing thinness, a brilliant display and, now, more powerful 7th generation Intel Core i performance, the HP Spectre has a lot going for it.
Stunning performance, fantastic screen and feather-light. Superb design and styling
The race to build the world's thinnest laptop hasn't always resulted in quality design innovation or utility over more full-figured machines. For example, comparatively, Apple's MacBook Air line looks a little plain-Jane versus some of the nicer thin and light laptops on the market these days, and...
Beautiful Super-Thin Design; Carbon Fiber Composite; Gold Finished Machined Aluminum; Great All Around Performance; Excellent Keyboard; Nice Bright IPS Display; 3 USB-C Ports; Two With TB3
Cooling Fans Can Get A Little Noisy; Lack-Luster Battery Life; No SD Card Slot
Ever since HP released the Spectre x360 the company has been clearly putting a greater emphasis on design and top-of-the-line materials. It's evident that this philosophy has come to all of HP's machines, from the thinning Envy line to even its budget Pavilion line, which are now painted with a...
Tasteful glitz and glam; Tactile keyboard; Bright and contrast-rich screen; Wonderful keyboard
Sizzling running temperatures; Below average battery life; Spongy trackpad
Overall design is top notch. Light, ultra portable, comes with a great leather sleeve and extra USB port connection. Love the B&O speaker it pumps out great loud audio. My only couple of concerns are the short battery life and the fan does get hot and loud at times.
If you can work with USB-C ports and a nontouch display, the HP Spectre offers a great design and excellent performance in the world's thinnest full-power laptop body.
The HP Spectre is remarkably thin while still managing to fit in Core i5 and Core i7 processors; The keyboard is excellent for such a slim body, and the bold design stands out in a sea of thin ultraportables
The lack of a touchscreen is a big omission for a premium Windows laptop; and the limited ports may force you to carry extra dongles and accessories
If you're looking for a premium, ultraportable laptop, there aren't many options to be found in the Windows world. Apple's been owning this segment of the laptop market for so long that it almost feels like other companies have given up.
Super thin and super light; Comfortable keyboard; More ports and power than the MacBook
Small trackpad; Mediocre battery life; Tinny speakers; Hinge has limited rotation
After using the HP Spectre for a few weeks now, there is no doubt in my mind that this is one of the best laptops on the market. It’s a fantastic combination between performance and portability, something that is rarely seen in the market, especially in Windows 10 devices.
Amazingly thin with a sleek, sexy metal design; Performance is not compromised in any way; Awesome keyboard features surprisingly good travel distance; Great display; Three USB-C ports, two Thunderbolt 3 capable
Battery life is average; No touchscreen option or ability to get more RAM
