I love the attention to detail of this laptop; everything from the precise edges, tactile feel of the keys on the keyboard to the responsiveness of the touch pad. The colour of dark ash with rose gold trimmings add a touch of class and have never failed to attract the attention or compliment from...
I love this laptop, it is light weight, slim and looks stylish and even elegant. It is made from white ceramic with gold edging and comes with an off white leather slip cover.. The keyboard is light touch and clicks along nicely. The screen is crystal clear and the sound perfect.
A work of art. High specs, beautiful sound and screen
With the release of Intel's new 8th-generation CPUs, there's never been a better time to be in the market for a thin and light laptop, that also has four cores. HP have realised this and updated their popular Spectre 13 ultrabook with the latest chip from Intel, the i5-8250.
Absolutely gorgeous design with the most premium feel. Stands out with a subtle yet elegant demeanour. Decent performance in this sleek ultrabook and the 3 usb C ports are a convenient and modern necessity. Slightly on the expensive side but if you can find it in sale its worth every dollar.
My mum purchased this laptop (I'm going to pay her back...promise!) because my old laptop (a Samsung) died on me and I needed a quick substitute in time for uni and work commitments. Choosing the top spec was the best decision... the i7 makes it so fast!
The Spectre attracts attention wherever it goes - that part already worked last year. The new model features an Intel Core upgrade to the i7-8550U and its design has received a final polish. Will the Spectre impress us as much as it did last year?
fancy; attractive design (ultra slim; light; portable and luxurious; high-quality materials and workmanship; good input devices; fast NVMe SSD; 2 fully-fledged Thunderbolt 3ports; high-quality speakers; USB-C on USB-A adapter and HP sleeve included
so far; few configurations available (display; RAM; SSD; strong; forced throttling; reflective screen; device could be more stable; bad connectivity; not maintenance-friendly; RAM soldered to motherboard; small battery with short battery runtime
If you can work with USB-C ports and a nontouch display, the HP Spectre offers a great design and excellent performance in the world's thinnest full-power laptop body.
The HP Spectre is remarkably thin while still managing to fit in Core i5 and Core i7 processors; The keyboard is excellent for such a slim body, and the bold design stands out in a sea of thin ultraportables
The lack of a touchscreen is a big omission for a premium Windows laptop; and the limited ports may force you to carry extra dongles and accessories
If you're looking for a premium, ultraportable laptop, there aren't many options to be found in the Windows world. Apple's been owning this segment of the laptop market for so long that it almost feels like other companies have given up.
Super thin and super light; Comfortable keyboard; More ports and power than the MacBook
Small trackpad; Mediocre battery life; Tinny speakers; Hinge has limited rotation
