I was so excited leading up to the release of a new guitar hero, as i am a self confessed addict. However i was a little disappointed... The crowds and guitarists are a little more 'finished', you can now gain 6 stars for a perfect performance, and the main difference is that you have to perform...

Completely overshadowed by the competition's new hardware, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock doesn't quite bring the house down. It's marred by a controversial selection of songs and no real innovations.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock is the sixth console instalment of the series, however this one tries to take you back to its operatic rock roots; featuring a classic over-the-top storyline, stylistic clichéd characters and of course some stereo-blasting, window-smashing rock hits.

Guitar Hero and I have a love/hate relationship. I love the fact they it brought me into the rhythm game genre, though I resisted heavily. I spent hours on Guitar Hero 2 and 3 – only to start to be annoyed by changed made in titles beyond that.

If you're not sick of holding colored buttons and flicking a little plastic bit to the beat of your favorite song after all these years, then you might have bought Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock already.

Once again another Guitar Hero has emerged and this time did nothing. There was nothing new about it and wasnt that big of a step foreward for the genre. The music is good, but at times I wonder if they just chose random songs or what.

All you metal heads, punks and people who generally want to rock out, get your fret boards ready because Guitar Hero is back and looking better than ever. Warriors Of Rock sees the franchise return to its rock roots with its heavy metal aesthetic and 90-plus metal/punk set list for players to shred.

Released a little over a year after Guitar Hero 5 , Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock takes the well-treaded rhythm-based mechanics of the series away from the world of dingy clubs and booing crowds to the charming, if often tiring, fantastical world of demigods and Rush.
