If you're not sick of holding colored buttons and flicking a little plastic bit to the beat of your favorite song after all these years, then you might have bought Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock already.

" Warriors of Rock ", or Guitar Hero 6 , aims to really up the ante. It's not really about competing with Rock Band anymore, just creating a hardcore rock game for fans of the original game or two. Do Neversoft pull it off?

The Guitar Hero franchise has become a household name and a mega-hit for Activision. Guitar Hero games have been around since November 2005 and the franchise is not showing any signs of slowing down.

All told, shred-heads will enjoy this game's robust collection of head-banging bands, if not the particular song selections… but even they might groan at the cheesy presentation of "2112" and the presence of some alt-rockers and faux-punk acts.

Guitar Hero and I have a love/hate relationship. I love the fact they it brought me into the rhythm game genre, though I resisted heavily. I spent hours on Guitar Hero 2 and 3 – only to start to be annoyed by changed made in titles beyond that.
