Gravity Rush 2 (PlayStation 4) Review

As Kat weaves in-between buildings, under archways, around spires, and through tunnels, there is this sensation that's bound to overcome whoever is controlling her. It's not just about defying gravity; it's about making it their own.

Gravity Rush could have gone so differently. Originally released on the PS Vita back in 2012, it was a shining light in what the handheld console could manage. Sadly the PS Vita has a tiny user base outside of Japan, so to have the original move over to the PS4 was a saving grace by all accounts.

Outstanding visual design; Excellent world design with a sense of verticality that is unmatched by any other game; A host of well designed content that sounds pointless; but is surprisingly great to play through

Confusing story choices; particularly putting the end credits 3/4 of the way through the game; The final chapter of the game goes against everything before it and puts you on a linear path; Camera is easier to control; but it can still leave you completely lost every now and then

Gravity Rush 2 Review

Gravity Rush 2 hits all the same notes as the first game, but in better and more refined ways. The combat is still pretty dull, but it takes less of a focus this time around. Everything else is much improved, and given how well the first game was received, that's high praise.

Gravity Rush 2

There's a pure, exhilarating joy to the way Gravity Rush 2 , like its predecessor, allows one to shift gravity on cue-to recklessly fall through the sky in order to fend off the monstrous, gelatinous Nevi. And yet, there's a constant sinking feeling about the whole affair.

Gravity Rush 2 Review – Stuck In The Clouds

Concept: Take Kat's gravity-defying powers and explore larger, more diverse environments Graphics: The locales are dense, gorgeous, and allude to real-world locations like S?o Paulo, London, and upstate New York Sound: Kohei Tanaka's score captures the feeling of soaring around each city...

That's so Raven

A hallmark of excellence. It may have some flaws, but they are negligible to what is otherwise a supreme title.

Gravity Rush 2 review – falling with?style

Just as charming as the original, but the improved combat and clever new gravity abilities make for a notably better game.

The gravity controls work very well and the newly expanded combat is a lot more interesting than before; Excellent art design and Kat is a great protagonist

Slow and uninteresting start, and the story and supporting characters are still fairly weak; Low tech graphics limit the visual impact

Gravity Rush 2

Gravity Rush was pretty much a hidden gem on PS Vita. Since the remastered version hit PS4, however, it's become clear that it's an experience that also translates well to the big screen.

Gravity Rush 2 review

Kat's always been endearingly clumsy as protagonists go - in contrast to her super-ally Raven she's a headlong mess of hair, legs, scarf, flapping awkwardly through the sky and colliding with the ground in a shower of grit.

Gravity Rush 2 Review – Visual Stunner Worth the ‘Weight'

Gravity Rush 2 is a flawlessly beautiful set of mechanics wrapped in gorgeous sets, classy music, and a necessary plot. You play Kat, a gravity shifter who very recently saved her city from total destruction.

Crazy beautiful graphics; Flying and fighting is still amazing; Hot new fighting styles

Too many fetch quests; Plot feels uneven at times; Upgrade system is worse than last time
