GTA IV is out! Love it or hate it, its hard to ignore what will definitely be the biggest game of the year.

A sensational game that lives up to the pre release excitement. There are a few flaws, but anyone of-age picking up this game is bound to have a lot of fun.

Grand Theft Auto IV steps onto the current console scene with all the swagger and confidence of a gunslinger in an Old West saloon. Men run in fear; women swoon. It packs more heat than an NRA member at an anti-war demonstration.

Grand, theft, and auto. These three words, when separate, hold little weight. When conjoined, however, they represent pushing boundaries, confronting the man and provoking society at large. I'm talking of course about the most innovative and controversial franchise to date, Grand Theft Auto.

With top marks rushing in from all corners of the globe you'd think Rockstar had hit upon the Holy Grail with GTA IV. They may have come very close, but when you achieve perfection where do you go next

There aren't many things wrong with the game; But if we had to nitpick, the story gets weighed down at points by the introduction of too many characters; You practically need a program to keep track of who's who and what's what; The trademark "GTA glitches" also abound.

Much like III was, it's more than just a game that's so great its few misgivings are forgivable. We get a handful of games that are generally impressive like that every year, but it's special in a way those aren't. It transcends terms like "game of the year" and "masterpiece.
