Google Pixel 6a 5G (6GB RAM, 128GB, Sage) - Brand New review
Justin Duino / Review Geek The Pixel A-series is back, and Google has another winner on its hands. The new Google Pixel 6a is arguable the best bang for your buck and easy to recommend. If you’re on a budget, buy this phone.- Great value, Solid specs and performance, Typical Pixel experience
- Smaller battery than its predecessor, No wireless charging, Older cameras
Google Pixel 6a 5G (6GB RAM, 128GB, Sage) - Brand New review
The Google Pixel 6a is the latest in the A-series line from Google, an affordable phone series that typically takes most of the goods of whatever top-tier phone Google has available at the moment, then cuts a few things and sells at a lower price. This new Pixel 6a is the first to adopt Google’s...
Google Pixel 6a Review
- Lovely small form-factor
- Reliable camera for the price
- Google’s excellent software
- 60Hz display feels slow compared to the rivals
- Slow to fully charge
Google Pixel 6a 5G (6GB RAM, 128GB, Sage) - Brand New review
The design of the Pixel 6a can turn heads and this is a 6.1-inch-screened phone that fits the hand well.- Excellent value, Cool design, Fast performance, Recorder app
- Only two cameras, Too small for some
Google Pixel 6a 5G (6GB RAM, 128GB, Sage) - Brand New review
The 6A’s Tensor chipset makes all the difference in this midrange phone- Flagship-class processor and performance, Good camera, Very good battery life
- Standard refresh rate screen, Fingerprint sensor is still kind of slow
Google's Pixel 6A Is Smart and Powerful, but the Camera Lags
This affordable midrange phone checks off all the boxes but no longer has a sizable lead with its camera and software support.- AMOLED screen that actually gets bright enough to see in direct sunlight. Great performance. Slick and smart software. Nice build, compact size. IP67 water resistant. Reliable fingerprint scanner. Good cameras. 5 years of security updates. Day-long battery life.
- Older camera hardware shows its age. Screen only refreshes at 60 Hz, which is below par for this price range. No wireless charging. Promise of three OS upgrades is good, but not the best. No headphone jack. No charger in the box.
Google Pixel 6a (128GB, Sage) - Pristine review
Built in much the same style as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, the Pixel 6a is part of what we expect in a mid-range Pixel, and yet not all the way there. It's a good phone, but not a great mid-range Pixel, and misses out on aspects previous Pixel a generations have clearly delivered on.- A nice smaller style for a Pixel which is now a big phone, Feels good in the hands, Decent performance, A solid camera for a mid-range phone, Water resistance
- Main camera isn't the Pixel 6 camera, but the Pixel 5 camera, Battery won't likely hit beyond a day, No wireless charging
Google Pixel 6a review
- Top drawer performance
- Smaller size
- Outstanding camera
- Solid battery life
- Guaranteed software updates
- Rear plastic scratches easily
- Charges slow and hot
- Only 60Hz display
Google Pixel 6a 5G (6GB RAM, 128GB, Sage) - Brand New review
The Google Pixel 6a has exceeded expectations and we’re happy to report that after two years, the ‘fucc’ is well and truly back.
Google Pixel 6a 5G (6GB RAM, 128GB, Sage) - Brand New review
Google is on a roll. After years of good but not great phones, the Pixel 6a is another excellent model bringing the Android-maker’s magic down to a more affordable price. It uses the same recipe that makes Apple’s iPhone SE so good: a mid-range phone with the company’s top chip.- Pros: brilliant camera, good smaller screen, top performance, good battery life, recycled aluminium, five years of security updates, Android 12, smart software features, competitively priced.
- Cons: fairly slow charging, no optical zoom, no macro photo mode, no face unlock option, screen only 60Hz.
