Google Pixel 6 hands-on review
The Pixel 6 is a formidable Android phone at a very compelling price point. Could this be the turning point for mass take-up of Google’s stock Android devices? Let’s hope so, because it would be a massive shame if this didn’t prove a big seller. It’s great to use and offers plenty of bang for buck. You might not get a variable refresh rate up to 120Hz with the standard model, but the screen is terrific, too.
Google Pixel 6 review review
- Well-priced
- Years of updates
- Striking design
- No telephoto
- No variable refresh rate
Hands on: Google Pixel 6 review
The Google Pixel 6 is an exciting phone that could compete with pricier flagship phones, but we still don't know enough about its Google-designed Tensor chipset to make the call now. As it is, the Pixel 6 is a bold new direction in design, cameras, and software with Android 12 out of the box, and we're eager to test it fully and deliver our final verdict soon.- Tensor chipset has lots of promise
- High-megapixel main camera
- Bold new design with large 6.4-inch display
- Big size and weight makes it a bit cumbersome
- No telephoto camera
- Camera block feels vulnerable to damage
Google Pixel 6 review: A high-end Google phone at the right price
The Google Pixel 6 is a stellar phone for the price. The more expensive Pixel 6 Pro is a tougher sell , but at only $600, the standard Pixel 6 is the phone to beat. It performs well, offers an excellent camera, and boasts a solid display. It’s not a perfect phone.
Google Pixel 6 Pro review: The Pixel finally goes flagship
The Google Pixel 6 Pro is a solid option from Google, but it’s not necessarily a home run like the standard Pixel 6 is in its price range. The good news is that the device performs like a flagship and takes photos like a flagship.
Google Pixel 6 5G (128GB, Seafoam) AU - Excellent review
The Google Pixel 6 is the new "value" king in the world of smartphones.- New camera sensors are impressive, Battery life is still very good, Larger size, Flat display, Incredibly priced
- No charger in the box, 5G is weird, but not as bad as with the Pro, Display is only 90Hz
Google Pixel 6 review: Starting fresh
There are two big talking points with the Pixel 6: the unique design and the Google-made processor. This focus on creating a phone that's visually distinct from everything else on the market while also investing in its own home-grown silicon suggests Google is taking this whole smartphone thing very...- Unique standout design, Five years of security/software updates, Water and dust resistance, Not too expensive
- It's quite big compared to the Pixel 5, Fast-charging not all that fast
Google Pixel 6 review: A new hope
The Pixel 6 is the smartphone that is supposed to mark the revival of Google in the Android market. With a brand new 50+12 MP camera module, a new custom Tensor SoC, and a spanking new daring design, I'll share my detailed opinion about the Google Pixel 6 and tell you whether this is the one or not.- Potentially iconic design, Well-calibrated 6.4-inch 90Hz AMOLED display, Powerful Tensor SoC does not overheat, Pixel-like photo rendering, Adequate battery life, 5 years of security updates, IP68 + wireless and reverse charging, Reasonable price
- Camera module is not versatile enough without a telephoto lens, Fast charging is too slow and has no included charger, Night Sight mode is not natural for night shots, 128GB storage without a microSD port, "Only" 3 major Android updates
