Google Pixel 4A 5G (128GB, Black) Australian Stock - Refurbished (Excellent) review
Three months ago I reviewed the Pixel 4a, and gave it a perfect score . I think it’s ideal for a budget Android phone today. The Pixel 4a 5G is that, just bigger and with 5G. Does that make it perfect, too? Not quite.
Pros:
- Perfect screen size, Fantastic Android software, Great battery life, Unbeatable cameras
Cons:
- 5G is questionably useful, No water resistance, No wireless charging

The Pixel 4a 5G is a budget version of the Pixel 5. It offers an impressive price-to-performance rat... Better than the flagship? The Google Pixel 4a 5G makes life harder for the Pixel 5. It features the same SoC and the same camera system. However, it has a bigger 6.2-inch screen and is much cheaper.
Pros:
- compact and light housing
- 5G & NFC
- Android 11 & extended software support
- fast fingerprint sensor
- very good camera
- bright OLED screen
- very good battery life
Cons:
- no IP certification
- non-expandable memory
- no WiFi 6
- thin stereo sound
- no wireless charging

Google Pixel 4a 5G review: A smarter choice than the Pixel 5?
This phone makes the most sense in Google's 2020 Pixel series line-up. It's cheaper than the Pixel 5, has a larger display, and the same great camera, making it a win in our books.
Pros:
- Great display - larger than Pixel 5
- Super camera experience
- Includes 3.5mm headphone socket
- Speaker offers great quality
- Sensible price - less than the Pixel 5
Cons:
- No waterproofing
- No optical zoom camera - and there's a 2x digital zoom bug

The Pixel 4a 5G is a very good phone, boosted significantly by its highly impressive camera performance and Google’s signature streamlined software. However, take a look at your top priorities and your available budget before buying this one over the Pixel 4a or the Pixel 5.

Google Pixel 4a 5G review
The Pixel 4a 5G has a lot more to offer than the regular 4a, especially for those looking for an XL Google phone. However, it has serious competition from cheaper rivals.

- Big screen for XL fans
- Excellent cameras
- Easy to use
Cons:
- Rivals are cheaper
- 60Hz display
- Fast charging only 18W
