Google Pixel 4a 128GB

Coming soon - the Google Pixel 4a 5G! But will it be bigger and better than its predecessor?

Some early reports suggested the 5G version will be an XL version of the Pixel 4a, with a larger screen than its 5.8-inch sibling. However, recent leaks suggest the 4a 5G will share the same size screen and body. Maybe the recent leaks have been manufactured to create some marketing buzz ahead of its release.

What will be different is the processor. The 4G model has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chip that doesn’t support 5G. The most obvious choice for the Google Pixel 4a 5G will be the Snapdragon 765G which is more than capable of powering that much-desired 5G capability. It's also being suggested that the Pixel 4a 5G will also have a capacitive fingerprint scanner.

Even if the Pixel 4a 5G ends up being the same size as the Pixel 4a, there are rumours of a larger battery, which will be needed with a new chip and 5G modem on board. And leaked renders hint at a second camera as well...as well as no headphone jack. However, this could well be an oversight given the headphone jack is part of the Pixel 4a. All rumours and speculation should be replaced with concrete facts once the device is released with the next few months.

Google Pixel 4A review

The Google Pixel 4a is an inexpensive smartphone with a camera that's ideal for 'point-and-click' photographers who aren't too fussed about multiple cameras and lots of options.

Price, Compact size, Easy to use camera (point-and-click), Headphone jack

Battery life, Photos quality drops when using the zoom, No wireless charging, Feels less expensive

Google Pixel 4A review

The Pixel 4a is Google’s affordable and entry-level smartphone with a £349 price tag and, of course, it features the Pixel camera.

Lightweight design, Smooth and fluid software experience, Great camera software and processing

No wireless charging, Only one camera lens, Portrait mode not always accurate

Google Pixel 4A review

The Pixel 4a is the cheap phone that we desperately needed.

Best display in its class, Cameras are top-notch and worthy of a Pixel, No Notch!!, Stereo speakers still sound incredible , Battery life is pretty good for a Pixel, Plenty of storage, It will be among the first to get Android 11, 128GB is the new standard

Only available in one variant (one color, one storage size), Slower than the Pixel 4, Plastic build, Squeeze functionality is missing, No IP Rating

Google Pixel 4A review

The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.

Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features

Design too familiar, Some average features

Google Pixel 4A review

The iPhone 14 isn’t much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it’s still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.

Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance

Display could use some upgrades

Apple has given select media outlets and YouTubers access to the new iPhone 14 ahead of when it begins arriving in customers' hands on Friday, September 16. There are two models of the ‌iPhone‌ 14, the standard 6.1-inch ‌iPhone‌ 14 and the larger 6.7-inch ‌iPhone‌ 14 Plus.

Google Pixel 4A review

The Pixel 4a is in a tight corner of the handset market. Its main competitor in the UK is probably the recently released OnePlus Nord, which is larger and has a bigger screen, supports 5G, and more cameras.

Three years of Google updates, Compact and lightweight, Unfussy design, Good rear camera, Good OLED screen, 3.5mm headset jack

No MicroSD card slot, Screen might be too small for some users, Sound quality could be better, No IP rating for dust/water resistance

Google Pixel 4a review: The Goldilocks Google phone

The Pixel 4a is one of the best phones you can buy right now. For AU$599 you get an Android phone with the best single lens for still images on any phone, all-day battery life, a compact design, and guaranteed three years of software updates.

A much better buy than the normal Pixel 4, the well-priced 4a packs in an amazing camera and solid battery life with the promise of three years of software support.

Great display; Superlative camera for stills; Affordable;

No waterproofing; No wireless charging; Plain design;
