Google Pixel 4 Promo Previews Face Unlock, Motion Sense and More
Apart from Face Unlock and Google's Soli radar-based Motion Sense features, Google Pixel 4 will have the Google Assistant locally, for the first time.
Pixel 4 is the smoothest, smartest Google phone yet
With some extremely clever new tricks and the same solid fundamentals - from the excellent camera to the very latest Android software - this year's flagship Pixels lean even more heavily on Google's machine learning and AI to make for a pair of proactive and delightful smartphones.
Google Pixel 4 review
If you're in the market for one of the very best camera phones out there, the Pixel 4 should be at or close to the top of your list. If you're looking for an all-round feature-packed phone, you may be a bit disappointed, and the battery life is mediocre at best, but it's a solidly built device with...- Great camera is now even better
- Solid easy-to-grip design
- Beautiful 90Hz display
- No fingerprint scanner
- Battery life is poor
- Motion Sense is very basic
AMAZING phone, HORRIBLE battery life.
This phone is great in terms of speed, size, look, function, camera, almost everything... But the battery is something else. Absolutely horrible. It reminds me of my old S6. Good luck getting more than 3 hours screen on time.
Google Pixel 4 review
The Google Pixel 4 adds a second rear camera lens, motion controls, a 90Hz display, and more - but none of it matters when the battery life is this bad
Google Pixel 4 review: great phone, when it has battery
Google has launched its fourth generation of Pixel smartphones, and much has been written about the Pixel 4 XL. I've been using the smaller of the two new Google flagships to see if it can stand up to the competition.- Smooth 90Hz display
- Top performance
- Compact design
- Excellent camera
- Atrocious battery life
- Motion Sense limited
- No more unlimited cloud storage
Google Pixel 4 review: Solid camera, but poor battery and cellular performance kill it for business
I usually spend my fall phone money on the newest Galaxy Note, but this year I went all in on the Samsung Galaxy Fold and think it's the most innovative and exciting phone I've tried in years.- Latest Android software, Excellent camera software, High quality design, fit, and finish
- Limited storage options, High price for specs, Limited MotionSense gestures, Lacks ultra wide-angle camera, Poor cellular reception, Poor battery life
Pixel 4 review: An excellent Android phone let down by poor battery
Featuring an excellent camera and a completely clean Android 10 install, Google's Pixel 4 is an excellent phone that matches – if not beats – key competitors in a number of areas. It’s not the prettiest phone around, and for the money you can get phones with better hardware, like the OnePlus 7T.- Compact design, Excellent camera, Clean Android 10 install
- Below average battery life
Google Pixel 4 review
Google ups its photography game to reinforce its reputation in an ever-evolving market Improved camera experience Useful motion gestures Better screen Lacklustre sound quality Battery life takes a hit
Google Pixel 4 Review: Self-Sabotage
I wanted to love the Pixel 4, but instead I can only bring myself to like it, and if it sounds like I'm being demanding then you may not have been keeping up with smartphones in 2019.- Camera technology is capable of incredible results
- 90Hz OLED screens are smooth and beautiful
- Android 10 runs fast
- Face Unlock is incredibly quick
- Recorder app is offline dictation witchcraft
- Battery life ranges from underwhelming to just plain bad
- No ultra wide camera
- Motion Sense feels gimmicky for now
- G Suite users miss out on key features
- 64GB of storage is miserly
