Google Pixel 3a XL Review

The Google Pixel 3a XL makes for a great big-screened Pixel 3 alternative, without the price tag. It nails the software and camera experiences so important to capturing the feel of the full-fat Pixel 3 series, in spite of its more affordable nature. However, its price tag places it up against more capable and more powerful rivals.
Pros:
  • The same great Pixel experience for less
  • There's a headphone jack
  • Great OLED screen
  • Superb camera
Cons:
  • Auto-brightness sets screen too dim
  • No Qi charging or water resistance
  • Weak gaming performance

Google Pixel 3 XL review

After spending a few weeks with the Google Pixel 3 XL, we’re at a bit of a crossroads. We like it a lot, but there are reasons we wouldn’t choose to use it as our main phone. On the one hand, it’s a beautiful handset with solid design, excellent performance, and one of the best portrait cameras...
Pros:
  • Double glass design feels great in the hands, Screen feels excellent, Great performance, Single-lens portrait mode is still one of the best in the business, and better than Apple's, Selfie camera is truly exceptional, A hint of water resistance, Finally supports wireless charging
Cons:
  • Battery life is relatively underwhelming for a flagship phone, Only available in 64 and 128GB storage
  • this should be 128 or 256GB for a flagship phone in 2018, No expandable memory, Needs something special to make it really stand out

Google Pixel 3 XL

It's one of our favorite phones of the year, but the Pixel 3 XL isn't what we usually see from big-screen phones. For instance, it costs less than $1,000 (more specifically, $899, £869 and AU$1,349), and it has only one rear camera lens.
Pros:
  • The Pixel 3 XL has a top-of-the-line camera that includes an enhanced low-light feature and it can now take wider selfie shots
  • It's water resistant, has wireless charging and its Google Assistant has convenient new skills such as call screening
Cons:
  • The phone's onscreen notch is taller than other phones'
  • It doesn't have expandable memory or a headphone jack

Google Pixel 3 XL review

I used the Pixel 2 XL for most of 2018. Even if it wasn’t my main phone, I always had it as a back up in case there was something I needed to snap a picture of. After the in October, I was more excited for the Pixel 3 XL software, than the hardware.
Pros:
  • Operates nicely, no lag., Camera takes incredible pictures, Great features such as Call Screen, Night Sight, and Google Lens
Cons:
  • Battery life could be better, Phone is simple looking, No expansion slot / headphone jack, Retail price is high (look for promos)
