Google Pixel 3 XL review
Pixel 3 XL Review. When I reviewed the smaller Pixel 3 a couple of weeks ago, I told you that a Pixel 3 XL-specific review would follow. That's what we're about to dive into here. I separated them because while the software experience, camera, and...
Google Pixel 3 XL review: Android's new hotshot phone
The Google Pixel is the panacea of Android phones, designed to show what you can do with pure Android software, tuned to the Google-designed hardware. Its pièce de résistance is the camera, where Google's aim is to showcase what artificial intelligence (AI) can really do.- Outstanding camera performance
- Android Pie is clean and fast
- High quality design and build
- No screen issues this time around
- Battery life isn't class leading
- Some software foibles
Google Pixel 3 XL review: Google's latest flagship excels at photos and software
For the third year in a row, Google has released its own-brand smartphone under the PIxel label, in a choice of two sizes, to try and put into physical form its vision of what a mobile phone should be – a direct, Google-ified, Android rival to the iPhone .- Google aces the camera again
- Screen is big and beautiful
- Pixel Android and speedy updates
- Did you notice that notch
- Battery life is unspectacular
- No in-screen fingerprint reader
Best camera just got even better

Google Pixel 3 XL review
The Pixel 3 XL is a mixed bag of ideas and executions. As a showcase of Google's prowess in AI, machine learning and computational photography, it's deeply impressive. Things like Call Screen, Duplex, Super Res Zoom, Top Shot and the upcoming Night Sight are Google at its finest.- Large, high resolution display, Clean software with some incredibly advanced features, Smooth UI, Powerful speakers, Excellent camera
Google Pixel 3 XL review
After spending a few weeks with the Google Pixel 3 XL, we’re at a bit of a crossroads. We like it a lot, but there are reasons we wouldn’t choose to use it as our main phone. On the one hand, it’s a beautiful handset with solid design, excellent performance, and one of the best portrait cameras...- Double glass design feels great in the hands, Screen feels excellent, Great performance, Single-lens portrait mode is still one of the best in the business, and better than Apple's, Selfie camera is truly exceptional, A hint of water resistance, Finally supports wireless charging
- Battery life is relatively underwhelming for a flagship phone, Only available in 64 and 128GB storage
- this should be 128 or 256GB for a flagship phone in 2018, No expandable memory, Needs something special to make it really stand out
