The Google Pixel 2 XL is the upsized version of the Pixel 2 - a six-inch display compared to five inches. But what other big things does the Pixel 2 XL bring us?
Reviews from industry events launching the Pixel 2 XL rave about the new Android Oreo, the new Operating System which takes smartphone performance to a remarkable new level. According to some, this new Pixel smartphone is how Android should operate in its purest form.
The Snapdragon chipset, combined with 4 GB of RAM, combine to make the Pixel 2 XL a very fast phone, noticeably speedier than many other smartphones occupying the higher end of the market.
A smaller feature, but a most welcome one, is the Always On feature, which means you can see the time and other notifications without having to tap the screen.
One of the big advantages of upsizing to the Pixel 2 XL is the enhanced resolution of the P-OLED display. Its 2,880 x 1,440 resolution equals a crystal-clear display, something to keep in mind if things like virtual reality gaming apps are on your wish list.
The Pixel camera is being lauded as one of the best, if not THE best, on the smartphone market. While the cameras are not dual-lens, technological features like dual-pixel for a stunning depth effect, means that the rave reviews for these cameras are justified.
Protecting all the grand features in the upsized Pixel 2 XL is improved dust and water resistance.

Buying a Pixel 2 XL may be a little out of your comfort zone, because it isn't sold directly by most carriers. But it's worth it. Verizon sells the 64GB Pixel 2 XL directly for $849.99 or $35.41 per month. But that model has bloatware and a locked bootloader.
Excellent battery life; Terrific low-light camera performance; Elegant Google software; Great build
No headphone jack or microSD card slot; Lacks Band 71 for expanded T-Mobile coverage; Screen quality has caused drama
This is a great computer to bring in your pocket. It takes amazing pictures, great screen which is the interface to an amazing experience. It is durable and has dust and water protection. Is so incredibly pleased. The screen could have been better.
Last year, Google set the tone for its smartphone ambitions. The company was going to use manufacturing partners but control the entire product experience. The first Pixel smartphones took impressive photos -- something Googles' phones were never known for -- had a new software experience, and laid...
Impressive camera; Battery life; IP67 rating; Performance
Active Edge is frustrating at times; Portrait Mode needs some work
Amazing camera, super-fast, stock Android software, Google Assistant is consistently useful, unobtrusive
Expensive, no headphone jack, Pixel 2 looks dated, Pixel XL 2 POLED display not as good as OLED

The Pixel 2 series is Google's second go at their own branded smartphones. It's been out for a few months now and has since received an update to Android 8.1. Our Google Pixel 2 XL review takes a look at the larger of the two recent smartphones released by the tech giant to see how it stacks up with...
Solidly built smartphone; Clear; crisp screen; Great battery life; Fantastic camera; Stock Android getting more useful functionality; Active edge useful; IP67 rated
Not a fan of the fluorescent orange power button; Fairly stock/bland design; Active edge can't be remapped to other programs
Full screen design The Google Pixel 2 XL has that new and highly desirable full screen design. The Pixel 2 doesn't feature this, so this is one of the main reasons that consumers will want the Pixel 2 XL over its smaller cousin.
I have had this smartphone for about a week now. So far so good. No complaints. The so-called blue tint is hardly noticeable. Google has definitely fixed the blue tint problem. Considering this phone my not have the largest RAM, it does operate buttery smooth and amazingly fast.
The phone is perfect for me, the build quality is amazing, camera is superb, battery lasts me more than a day. very snappy and fast software. Duel front facing speakers are amazing as well. The only thing I wish google made better is the screen.
Very fast; Best camera; Duel front facing speakers; Long lasting battery; Android vanilla
Display could've been better
