Google Assistant Has The Edge
More smartness in the form of Active Edge - simply squeeze the lower half of the Pixel 2 to launch Google Assistant. One Of The World's Best Cameras?
Going by the positive reviews from tech experts, the answer could well be yes! Cameras are hugely important features in any smartphone, and the 12.2-megapixel sensor in the Pixel 2, combined with Google's image processing is said to be producing some wonderful results. Meanwhile, optical image stabilisation gives you steadier footage when you want to shoot video.
Short Charge, Long Life
Battery life is a vital factor, especially as we demand more from our smartphones. The Pixel 2 promises a 15-minute charge to supply 7-hours of battery life.
A newer model Google Pixel 3 64GB was released in July 2018.

Google Pixel 2 Review: Android camera magic
If there's a rockstar of the Android world in 2017, it's the new Pixel 2 . Google's own smartphones may not sell in as great a number as, say, Apple's iPhone or Samsung's Galaxy, but they're arguably no less important in their own way.- Pure Android Oreo experience is tasty
- Excellent camera
- Solid battery life
- Speedy Snapdragon 835 performance
- Pixel 2 bezels are huge
- Pixel 2 XL pOLED is muted and blue-tinged off-axis
- Can Google meet demand
Google Pixel 2 review: Clean, speedy Android in a minimal can
Last year, for the first time, Made by Google phones hit store shelves with a fresh look and new name to replace the aging Nexus. While Nexus represented pure Android for the nerds, Pixel was about making something truly great for everyone. And it was.- Polished
- speedy performance
- clean software and great front and back cameras
- Screen isn't as vibrant as competitors
- ActiveEdge is a pain to use
- lack of bezel free display is confusing
Google Pixel 2 review: not quite 'pixel perfect' but damn close
If you want a smartphone that’s as clean as they come and brilliantly-effective at tackling the everyday problems it sets out to solve, the Pixel 2 is a clear-cut winner. Google’s first generation of Pixel devices made a big splash last year. However, despite the misfortune that befell Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 and a massive advertising campaign, limited supply held the Pixel back from taking over the world. The Pixel’s moment of dazzling excitement quickly gave way to The Next Big Android Phone. A big splash is still just a splash after all. It’s act of unveiling brilliant in one moment, but gone the next.- Great form-factor
- Brilliant everyday performance
- Outstanding camera results
- Displays on both the Pixel 2 and XL have their drawbacks
- Battery life is only OK
Google Pixel 2
The Google Pixel 2 follows on from the popular Google Pixel phone, with some key improvements to the onboard camera. It now features a camera with dual-pixel autofocus. There's 12.2 megapixels, with an accompanying lens which has an f/1.8 aperture.
Best phone for life comes at a price...
the expensive google pixel 2 (5 inch) does not look like much, heck, one can argue the galaxy s4 from years ago had slimmer bezels, but looks can be VERY decieving. as I learned from my pixel 2, a bezeless front and shiny glass back isnt the answer to those who care to use their phones more than...- awesome camera
- fast UI
- fits one hand
- smooth and consistent performance
- easy to use coming from any phone
- medicore battery
- large body for screen
- no headphone jack or micro sd
Review: Google Pixel 2 is the best smartphone for stills photographers
The Google Pixel 2 combines hardware with powerful software to produce incredibly detailed and vibrant still images in both daylight and low light. Class-leading dual pixel AF is fast and accurate even in low light, and 4K/30p is both beautiful and also smooth thanks to optical + electronic stabilization. The camera's background blurring mode is among the best. And unlimited free photo storage via Google Photo is just the icing on the cake. We wish it offered wireless charging, a more accurate color display and a telephoto rear camera. But still you'd be hard put to find a smartphone in 2018 that takes prettier pictures.- General shooting, portraits, high quality casual video, street photography, social photography
- Sports or action, extremely low light shooting, those who still appreciate a traditional camera form factor
Always-on display The Google Pixel 2 has an Always-on display and this lets you see if there are notifications, without even touching the phone. You can also authorise the Always-on display to listen in the background and then automatically show the artist and song title of any music that is played...
