Nexus 6P vs Google Pixel XL

It's hard to get too excited about the Pixel XL given that it's such a marginal upgrade over the 6P. Sure, it has a new design a couple of extra camera features, more RAM and a faster processor, but it's also a lot more expensive.

Nexus 6P Review: The Android Phone to Beat

If you love stock Android and a well-designed smartphone with long battery life, great cameras and a powerful processor, you're going to love the Nexus 6P. The $549 aluminum body shouts "flagship" to all that behold its metallic beauty.

Nexus 6P review: The best Nexus device to date

This year we've had not one but two Nexus phones. The Nexus 5X , manufactured by LG, is the smaller of the bloatware-free Android devices, but while we liked that handset, it just doesn't really stand-out beyond the current mid-range market .

Beautiful aluminium frame; gorgeous plus-sized screen; punchy processor with no overheating; super-fast fingerprint scanner on the back; 4K video and slo-mo at 120 or 240fps (at 720p); great 8MP selfie camera; USB Type-C charging; speedy and pure Android 6.0 Marshmallow experience

Super saturated display leads to some colour inaccuracy; only day and a half of battery life with moderate use; no wireless charging; no USB 3.0 fast data transfer over USB Type-C; slow HDR mode; basic stock camera app with no manual controls; no optical stabilisation

The Nexus 6P is a thoroughly impressive piece of kit. There's no escaping that it's a big phone, but Huawei has done a good job of wrapping the big screen around a slim and attractive body.

Google Nexus 6P review

Originally, Nexus phones stood out for being excellent value at a price that was low, but not the lowest. They weren't an alternative to flagship phones, but they had the advantage of running stock Android and getting the next version more quickly.

Google Nexus 6P (Unlocked) Review

The unlocked Nexus 6P ($499, 32GB) isn't perfect, but it's the closest Google has come to fulfilling the wish list of Android users who want a true flagship-level Nexus smartphone. The 6P addresses every major issue owners of the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 have had about their devices. A reliable camera with improved low-light performance? Check. Long battery life? Check. Attractive, aluminum build? Check. On top of these upgrades, you also get a fingerprint scanner, a USB-C port with quick charging, dual front-facing speakers, and a crisp 5.7-inch AMOLED display. That adds up to our new Editors' Choice for unlocked smartphones. Design and FeaturesThe Nexus 6P is easily the best-built device Google has released in its Nexus line. Manufactured by Huawei, the 6P sports a very attractive aluminum build. It measures 6.27 by 3.06 by 0.29 inches (HWD) and weighs 6.28 ounces, putting it roughly on par with Apple's iPhone 6s Plus, which measures 6.23 by 3.07 by 0.29 inches and weighs 6.77 ounce...

The Google Nexus 6P is one of the best unlocked smartphones you can buy, thanks to a heady combination of powerhouse hardware, an excellent camera, a reliable fingerprint scanner, and the promise of the latest Android updates.

Excellent camera; Long battery life; Snappy performance; Attractive display; Loud speakers; Fast, reliable fingerprint scanner

Frustrating Power and Volume button placement; Some software issues in need of polishing

Good design, poor battery

The phone has a great design and also performed well. The problem is the battery life shortened. The phone battery is also not user replaceable. The battery should have been more thoroughly tested to operate out of the warranty period to give users the chance to experience a good product rather than...

Best android smartphone

The 6P is the flagship product of the Nexus range, and Google has stated that the 'P' stands for 'Premium'. One look at the device had us in complete agreement; the Nexus 6P, with its metal frame and body looks nothing short of fantastic.

Huawei Nexus 6P Review

The Nexus 6P sets the standard for every other Android phone.

Forward-thinking specs set the bar for Android; Quick and responsive fingerprint sensor; Now on Tap makes Android more prescient than ever; Quick charging juices up fast; Premium metal build

Expensive for a Nexus; Somewhat bland design
