"Fast, reliable, looks great."

I bought a 6p because I've had a Nexus 7 for just over a year that I let me son use, he absolutely thrashes that thing and I've never had an issue with it. As expected, Google has delivered another great device. Takes a little getting used to with switching over from Samsung but no regrets here.

Google Nexus 6P

The new Nexus 6P is a champion of Android, and purists will love the smarter Google Now features and slicker performance that comes with the latest update.But with rival flagships setting the bar so high, the Nexus 6P's picture and sound quality don't quite meet the standards expected.It's still...

Excellent new features; Fast performance; Sharp and colourful screen; Good battery life; Competitively priced

Video performance is unconvincing and lacks dynamism; Camera could take crisper and more natural shots; Music performance needs to be more detailed; solid and precise

Google Nexus 6P review: the best phablet available

The Google Nexus 6P is the best phablet available at the moment, and arguably the best Android smartphone, if its size is not an issue for you. Despite costing significantly less than the competition, its build, feel and design are top-notch.

excellent camera; fantastic fingerprint scanner; great screen; 1.5 days battery life; bloat-free Android 6.0 Marshmallow; great speakers; USB-C

no microSD card slot or removable battery; no wireless charging; quite long

Google Nexus 6P review: Best-ever Nexus sets new standard for big-screen Android value

Google has scheduled an event for October 4 at which it is expected to launch the next generation of its Android phones. Breaking away from the Nexus name, which has served as the company's in-house phone brand since 2008, the phones will be called the Pixel and Pixel XL, according to a report by Android Police, with pricing reportedly starting at $649.

The Nexus 6P doesn't have the most inspiring design, but when it comes to hardware prowess, value for money and Google extras, this best-ever Nexus is hard to beat.

One of the first two Android 6.0 phones, Google's metal Nexus 6P has a sharp, high-resolution screen and a solid camera, an accurate fingerprint reader, loud speakers and works with every major carrier; Its lower cost makes it a good top-tier value buy.

It's big; a bit boxy and top-heavy; the fingerprint reader's position isn't always convenient and the 6P ditches the wireless charging of previous models.

Google Nexus 6P review: Huawei's made a multimedia machine

The Nexus 6P is what happens when you cross a smartphone with a tablet. It is a large, well built ‘phablet’ born from a collaboration between Huawei and Google.

Excellent 5.7-inch AMOLED display; Nexus imprint; Powerful innards; USB-C support; Front firing stereo speakers; Long lasting battery;

Tall form factor; Camera struggles in high contrast situations; No expandable storage;

Google Nexus 6P (Unlocked) Review

The unlocked Nexus 6P ($499, 32GB) isn't perfect, but it's the closest Google has come to fulfilling the wish list of Android users who want a true flagship-level Nexus smartphone. The 6P addresses every major issue owners of the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 have had about their devices. A reliable camera with improved low-light performance? Check. Long battery life? Check. Attractive, aluminum build? Check. On top of these upgrades, you also get a fingerprint scanner, a USB-C port with quick charging, dual front-facing speakers, and a crisp 5.7-inch AMOLED display. That adds up to our new Editors' Choice for unlocked smartphones. Design and FeaturesThe Nexus 6P is easily the best-built device Google has released in its Nexus line. Manufactured by Huawei, the 6P sports a very attractive aluminum build. It measures 6.27 by 3.06 by 0.29 inches (HWD) and weighs 6.28 ounces, putting it roughly on par with Apple's iPhone 6s Plus, which measures 6.23 by 3.07 by 0.29 inches and weighs 6.77 ounce...

The Google Nexus 6P is one of the best unlocked smartphones you can buy, thanks to a heady combination of powerhouse hardware, an excellent camera, a reliable fingerprint scanner, and the promise of the latest Android updates.

Excellent camera; Long battery life; Snappy performance; Attractive display; Loud speakers; Fast, reliable fingerprint scanner

Frustrating Power and Volume button placement; Some software issues in need of polishing
