With the Nest Hub (formerly known as the Home Hub), Google finally has its own smart display, giving you another way of interacting with its handy Assistant
Gain control of your life, and your home, with Google Home Hub! This is a sharp-looking and quick-thinking device, and very reasonably priced in comparison to similar controllers.
Voice Match is the perfect way to stay on top of those everyday tasks, allowing you to reference things like calendars, reminders and so much more on the home screen. You can watch the news, make a shopping list, and place Duo voice calls to friends and family who have the Google Duo app installed.
Smart lights, cameras, TVs, appliances, and much more, can be voice-controlled from a single dashboard.
The Google Home Hub sure knows its stuff. Just ask it! Your questions are answered with visual and immersive responses. Queries about anything from recipes, weather, local business information are answered in a flash, and you can even access how-to videos from YouTube with a spoken command.
The Google Home Hub will play any form of music you're in the mood for. Once again, just use your voice to play your favourite songs, albums, artists, and music videos from YouTube Music. Spotify and leading radio stations can also be listened to.
Google Photos integration is a major selling point in this Home Hub. Use your voice to show any picture that you’ve ever taken in Google Photos, and it will respond. For example, just say: "Hey Google, show me my photos from Hawaii" and aloha...there they are!

With the Nest Hub (formerly known as the Home Hub), Google finally has its own smart display, giving you another way of interacting with its handy Assistant
Last year’s Nest Hub (formerly Home Hub) from Google is one of my most favorite smart home devices for one simple reason: it’s the best digital picture frame I’ve ever seen and makes it incredibly easy and enjoyable to see the thousands of photos I’ve taken of my kids that are trapped on my phone or...
Beautiful screen for displaying photos; Camera can be used for both video calling and home security purposes; Extensive smart home controls; Personalized information based on who’s looking at the screen
Sound quality doesn’t match Amazon’s Echo Show; Can’t play Netflix; No physical shutter for the camera; Home screen could be better utilized to display more information; Doesn’t support G Suite accounts or shared calendars
As a digital photo frame and smart home controller, the Google Nest Hub is an affordable device with enough features to keep you happy. It has a nice display, decent speakers, and you can control most features just with your voice.
Simple setup; Easy to use; No learning curve if you’re already used to using “Hey Google”
Make all the Google Assistant commands work with GSuite accounts
Google started talking about Assistant-powered smart displays earlier this year, but it let Lenovo and JBL roll out the first products. Google unveiled its Assistant display alongside the new Pixel phones, and it's not just the same guts in a new shell.
Display While lower resolution, the display has excellent viewing angles, brightness, and a light sensor that adjusts the color throughout the day; Form factor The Nest Hub is compact and easy to fit in your space.
Speaker The speaker is good enough for spoken words but not for music; Voice control There's no button to start voice commands—you have to use the hotword every time; Camera There's no camera, so video chat is out of the question.
Our Google Nest Hub review cuts through the jargon to reveal whether this smart speaker is worth buying
Great display; Nice design; Richer smart speaker experience; Particularly good for owners of other Nest tech; Easy to use and responsive
No camera for video calls; Sound quality is not the best
Google's Home Hub is a kickass digital photo frame that also happens to be a good smart speaker as well.
Smartly pulls pictures from Google Photos ; Slick ; compact design ; Decent sound ; Works as well as any Google Home
No camera for video calling
If you know what Amazon Alexa can do then this Hub from Google goes one stage further. It is a 7inch Landscape touch Tablet with the extended back being the speaker to give excellent sound and it sits like a triangular object.
The Google Nest Hub has a 7-inch LCD touch screen, a speaker at the bottom. It is powered by the Google Assistant and can work as a cen...
Shortly after announcing the Home Hub , a Google exec told me the timing was simply about “getting the product right.” Still, it’s curious launching your own entry in the space more than half a year after a trio of hardware partners debuted their own.
Google already has a great line of Google Home devices, with the original Home, the Mini, and the Max. The one device with Google Assistant that was missed is one with a display to rival Amazon and their Echo Show device.
