Good Product
I use my Chromecast mostly to watch "watch ESPN" on my TV instead of my phone. It works great. I can set it up and "cast" a game, then use other apps on my phone while it's still streaming to my TV. It works really well with youtube as well.- Difficult To Set Up
Chromecast: We get our SWEATY PAWS on Google's tiny telly pipe
So is Chromecast worth buying? Even at $35, that depends. As one friend put it when I described Chromecast to her, "So it's for people who don't have Xboxes?" Pretty much. Depending on your equipment, you may already have gear that can do what Chromecast does, and more.

Google Chromecast Mini-Review
It's been a few weeks now since I picked up a Google Chromecast, at that time the apps Du jour were Netflix, YouTube, Hulu Plus, HBO Go, Pandora, Google Play Movies & TV, Google Play Music and tab cast (Chromecast's method of streaming a browser window).
We Love Chromecast - works with Apple & Android phones
I earned some serious smart-mom points when I ordered a Chromecast for our house before anyone else here had heard of it. This was a huge win for me. In our 4-person household I am considered the least tech-savvy, and with Chromecast, I gained some respect.- Quick and easy to use
- great value for the price
- There were a few "dead" moments before my computer picked up that Chromecast was connected
Google launched their new $35 dongle at the July 24th event where they also unveiled their new Nexus 7 along with Android 4.3. Among the major announcements, the tiny little dongle that goes by the name of "Chromecast" was the talk of the tech industry for a while.
Google Chromecast > Review > Will it work here? Is it worth getting?
We've already given an enthusiastic welcome to the Google Chromecast some time ago . But that was sight unseen. But now… The Chromecast is a tiny media streaming device, just about the size of a fat USB thumb drive.- Pretty affordable for a very high quality, well thought out dedicated device, Easy to set up - well, subject to the caveat of a bit of "discrimination" against non-US markets, Streaming videos are butter smooth
- Not the highest definition, but they play back fast and with no stuttering.
- No iOS Chromecast controller app thus far for local market, and you'll have to look for an .apk for Android (fortunately, we got one - refer to article!, It's basically just a YouTube streaming device right now… but the future is full of promise for other applications

Google Chromecast
It's hard not to find Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player appealing, especially when factoring in the web browser capabilities to its ease of use, portability and price. But for those looking to "throw" any/all of their mobile apps on to a TV screen, Chromecast's limited app support shows that it...- Automated user-free updates
- HDMI extender
- cheap ($35
- Requires external power supply (in my experience
Google Chromecast
Google Chromecast is a small dongle that upgrades any TV to a "smart TV". It allows you to stream Netflix, YouTube, and Google Play Movies directly to your TV screen no matter how old it is (as long as it has HDMI).- Functional and simple
- Chrome tab mirroring useful
- Full picture quality when cloud streaming
- Android & iOS support
- Low price
- Great prospects in Chromecast
- Only Netflix
- YouTube & Google Play Movies app support
- Mirroring requires powerful PC/Mac but tops at 720p
- Local media streaming not optimal yet
- stutter & audio sync issues
- No device-to-device streaming
