Greate remaster
Same great game updated for the PS4
God Of War 3 Remastered is a must own if you're a fan of hack'n'slash games. The combat is fun, satisfying, crunchy, and runs at 60 FPS. The graphics are also very good. Buy this game If you like hack'n'slash games.
Hardly a game that was in desperate need of a makeover, but the original is still a solid action adventure and Kratos' story is given at least an element of closure.
Even without the update the game's presentation and visual flair still impresses, with some superb set pieces; Some useful tweaks to the combat and improved pacing
No major changes to the existing formula and the puzzle sections can still drag; Combat lacks the depth of some rivals; Remaster is expensive and offers little tangible improvement
The God of War series has been one of Sony's strongest over the last decade, and it took the brilliant The Last of Us to knock God of War III off our top spot for favourite PS3 game - until then Kratos had towered over even the Helghast, Nathan Drake and Yamauchi.
God of War III Remastered delivers exactly what it says: a prettier version of the same game you played five years ago. Those looking for the same experience will find it, and those looking for something new or a fresh take on the series won't get much out of this remaster. - Eric Van Allen
1080p60 upgrade makes the whole experience more fluid; responsive; Set pieces look great; especially in the new lighting
Little has been changed besides the graphics; Shows age in old menus; artistic direction; combat; Kratos is not endearing in the least
Great game with amazing story. The graphics will obviously be bad but if you ignore graphics the game is good. If you didn't play god of war 1,2 you won't understand the story properly so go see it in YouTube before playing.
The conclusion of the God of War trilogy is an escalating series of endings itself, one gushing finality on top of another until the an...
Higher resolution and framerate bring out the best of Olympus; Flashy; viciously animated combat; Elegant construction that melds fighting; puzzle solving and big moments
Excellent opening casts a shadow over mundane moments in need of editing; At this point; Kratos and his drama is repetitive and emotionally monotone; The Labyrinth is just the worst
It's funny what time can do to a person. Many of us resist aging with special face creams or surgery, while others try to find a haircut that doesn't show that they're thinning up top at the age of th
Still a superb game; Actually benefits from the 1080/60 treatment; A reminder of how great the series is
The remaster is aesthetic-only; Story will be hard to pick-up for newcomers
Kratos has never exactly been a sympathetic character, but the original God of War portrayed him as something of a tragic figure, his torment partly the result of his own bloodlust.
